Evolution of chat: changing of norms overtime.

This is a interesting observation i noticed...
i find it curious that how chat evolves and changes overtime... due to norms and rules being changed and adjusted.

do you guys remember when every every 10 msgs one of them would be a "halp" msg from someone? heheh
I remember for a while it started to get less and less, cause some mods would start saying its  passive and mute... while others would say they  are just joking and wont mute them...
then i think people got upset about how mods and support would mute some users and not others... finally we get to today where saying "halp" will almost for sure get you a mute... if not a wmute a warning at least... i think... well .. i hope anyway lol.. cause i say it no doubt i will be muted , joke or not hehe..

so another thing is i hadn't noticed  up until now that people weren't really saying now and it had phased out...
and you know what they say, if something is different in a room and when you walk in you dont notice it, then the change made added or removed is a good one, if its a bad one... it will  pop out to ones attention

I do remember when thise beggars would just spam the world halp endlessly xD and thank god now mods have a good way of muting them to stop that.

well no matter what it became it all meant the same xD

It kinda make spam look spammy. And the most hated norm I have is every telegram challenge someone always asks "What's the challenge?" WTF, some people just lack common sens.

I used to see "sad day today" and "halp" quite a lot back then. The funny thing I noticed is "sad day" peeps comes to chat when a high roller is present in chat.

Pretty sure the new rules and watchful eyes of chat moderators have an adverse effect on these changing trends in chat that you have mentioned. I guess it somewhat people learn to adapt to the new situations. :P

help halp.. what ever the term is.. being passive for free isn;t tolerated right.. what about straight forward.l saying the person name " can you halp me out" since its directly to another player ... that player has a choice to help out or to report the user to a mod.. with amount of hours of mute for each time that person been report.. 1st 1 hour 2..8hr  3. 24hr/ 4 perm mute no reversal.. and will include all possible or known alts.. but rules are rules and can be easily followed and easily broken..i would state a few things about mods.. but that will be for another topic..
