wngo123 Posted June 16, 2019 #1 Posted June 16, 2019 I wasn't on stake for a while and I noticed this new trend - racing. The prizes are getting higher and higher. I guess stake is earning good money because of it if they even rise the prize and almost every day there is a race. So the question is how many of you busted during such race and who actually maybe didn't win or didn't win big but at least your balance got higher because of the race? And what do you think is the minimum balance to join the race and at least have a chance?

Personally, unless you have 1 bitcoin to spend on the race its not worth it, as there are a lot of HR that will sweep you and take all the prizes and you will lose all your balance for 20k btc.

Is to have a large enough bankroll to start with because you can just lose it all before the race even is half way through and then drop your spot as time progresses. I noticed too in the races near the end those ones in the top 10 spots bet an enormous amount of bitcoin/ethereum so to either keep their spot or challenge the one above them. Because after all it is a race.
Etude Posted June 16, 2019 #4 Posted June 16, 2019 Yeah the Races in Stake has definitely became a hype trend so far. Everyone is taking their chances to snag at a prized spot and there are even Mega Races that has nearly 1 whole Bitcoin prize pool that just happened few days back!

Everyone wants to get a piece of cake, but as a rule in the top list is enter rich players for which bet a few bitcoins is not a problem, smaller players stand aside. Racing really became popular and it is interesting to me to watch it.

Like the name tells its a race and I personally do not like that everytime those highrollers scoop the top prizes by just betting a handful or even less than a handful bets to win the top prize. a highroller with a very nice balance can for example bet 0.5BTC on a 1.03 mines multiplier and have wagered 0.5 BTC in only 1 bet. for my balance it is not possible. couple races ago I wagered about 8ETH with a 0.10ETH starting balance and about 10k bets were needed and only ended 27th. I personally would add a minimum betting amount requirement. for example you need to wager at least 1000 bets to be eligible to claim a race prize. In this way more low balance players will be able to scoop some prizes

It would be nice to have that large of a balance and just play ultra safe to rack up a large wagered amount. I just wish more of them happened while I was available to participate.

Like they do these races because they have anonymous huge wagering people in their game so they conduct these races for them so that they probably bust and stake gets some money.

Stake is making out well on these races or they wouldn't have them. But kudos to them for giving back and giving us a chance to cash in nicely when we do race up the leader boards...

So I assume that it is worthwhile for Stake to host them, and at the same time, users just love it Win-win situation!
artizykristy Posted June 16, 2019 #15 Posted June 16, 2019 for the first time races started to get 15 to 25 rankings very easy even though 30 winners, but for now because races are very popular so many people who come only for races it is very difficult even we have to use a bigger blance than before to enter the top 30 I usually start from a balance of 0.01btc to 0.015
