Honestly, I don't trust this new Facebook cryptocryptology at all. Because of its strong connection with the U.S. services and its politicization in principle. I am sure that this currency will not be as anonymous as its elder brothers.

lol . you dont need to use facebook just because you wanted to test this because if its a crypto wallet then it will be available for all people and not just for the people that uses facebook   . cant you see other crypto wallets ? they are also backed by specific platform or company but their crypto wallets are available for public use  .  but may i know the reason why you didnt use facebook  ?  are you from those restricted country that facebook is  blocked ?  if not then go on , you can still use facebook . its not too late to use it .

Don't see why anyone would be excited about facebook coin, you can't invest in it, the value is somewhat fixed, if you already have access to basic banking services like a debit card, it should already be a lot better in infrastructure and services provided. Why pay facebook for the privilege of having your money tracked?
