Autobetting on Blackjack a possibility?

Heya everyone :)

So I recently saw a post about the prospect of autobetting in hilo, which I said would probably be difficult to implement. So it got me thinking, a lot of us play blackjack using basic strategy, so sure an autobetting mode could be added (just like it currently is with video poker - playing with optimal strategy). I know for myself, I like to play 100% according to basic strategy, so it will work well for me, becasue I play the same way each and every time.

This concept has been discussed before over here:

But now I want to know if Stake actually can implement it.

Would you guys make use of auto betting on blackjack using basic strategy? I mean sure, it might not do exactly what you want, but surely since it was successful on video poker, it can work in blackjack? Let me know what you think!

they have to consider when to use a double down insurance and when to hit. auto bet on 21 would be a tough call... unless they have a setting for the players to choose when to hit like if.. 10 and 11 12 and 13. where you can check the range when to hit on a number.. so if 12 is showing in your hand they it will auto hit... and of coarse.. they should be another set when to stay. on.. 15-19.. so if 12 is showing and 2 came out and the box that is checked stay 15-19. it will auto go to the next card.. and so forth.. right??

Yeah, I guess I never took that into account. Perhaps they could have a separate option for insurance and rules on when to double down and when not to. Same with splitting. I guess these things will have to be chosen by the user before the game starts.

Blackjack autobetting will be almost impossible because of the many options we have to make but I guess you only took that into account after you made the thread lol.

Oh well, I guess technically the game with the lowest edge deserve to be played manually! There are only so many games that (with the right strategy) can make a world of difference!

I'm not sure I personally would use it, because although most of the time I use optimal strategy, but from time to time I do not.  I suppose they could implement it (if possible) for optimal strategy, but I believe there are probably too many variations is people's play to make it where everyone would utilize it.  The examples given above such as insurance, hitting on certain totals depending on the dealers up card would be tough to code I guess.  I'm by no means a coder, so I have no idea if they could do it.  They may be able to put certain option check boxes to help with automation maybe, like with insurance.... with an option to check for either always or never, or split cards up to X value.  I really don't know how that all could work.

I think this is something that can be implemented if using a basic strategy like you mention. People with other strategies can just keep playing manually but for basic strategy it would a nice hands off solution

Umm i don't think that stake would make it because players would later on say that ughhh they rigged the game's auto and i bust all i had and this just causes more problems.
