Myt3 Posted June 22, 2019 #1 Posted June 22, 2019 i have noticed that many children enter gambling sites for bitcoin and csgo skins thinking its not real gambling. what is your guys opinion on this and solutions?
nattekut Posted June 22, 2019 #2 Posted June 22, 2019 as long as they do not require a KYC procedure to proof you are 18+ there will be nothing to stop that. Its to easy for kids to enter such websites. But well if they feel like they want to waste their money on gambling on that young age than its their stupid decisiion
andra_gonn Posted June 22, 2019 #3 Posted June 22, 2019 That because,they are chidren.They are more stupid.Child think,that we will win.
cryptofly Posted June 22, 2019 #4 Posted June 22, 2019 This can be an issue for Central Banks to ban bitcoin when they see that children are getting "bad" habits like gambling in a early age. I guess that gambling sites should go KYC as Nattekut just told. That is the only way to stop this; including of course the parent advisory in home. Good Luck.
barbaris Posted June 22, 2019 #5 Posted June 22, 2019 Children play CSGO and themselves misunderstanding get into the world of gambling games "skins csgo". Children do not need to gamble and they need to be limited from this by any means. When they come of age, then let them decide for themselves whether to play or not.
Etude Posted June 22, 2019 #6 Posted June 22, 2019 Hmm this is actually true but having KYC would also kinda defeat the purpose of Bitcoin being anonymous when needed be.
nuuuitsjdragon Posted June 22, 2019 #7 Posted June 22, 2019 Well, anything can be Gambling and if they can’t find their fix at these places there will be others for sure. There’s only so much you can do to prevent someone from being able to access/use your platform with the most important being identity documents (which could be falsified), but @Etude‘s point about Crypto being supposedly anonymous makes sense as well As such I feel not much can be done in the current landscape but it starts with home as family would be the most effective way of preventing such cases with parental control and limitations!
lupandina Posted June 22, 2019 #8 Posted June 22, 2019 Everything starts from family. You can close all worlds alcohol shops, kill every single drugs dealer and close all casinos! 😅 But it won't help to protect kid from problems, if there wasn't proper education from parents and close relationships with them...

Very much true, also I doubt you could really do nothing in that case, exactly like lovely dina stated, it's impossible. 12 minutes ago, lupandina said: Everything starts from family. davinmark Posted June 22, 2019 #10 Posted June 22, 2019 i think a children wouldn't really understand about crypto's , because for me i need to learn about crypto and i think its not easy to understand especially for kids but i kinda agreed with a children who did a CSGO gambling or Dota 2 Gambling maybe. my solution is a gambling sites should makes some KYC for their customers so every children who was under 18 cannot play on that sites
williamshennie9 Posted June 22, 2019 #11 Posted June 22, 2019 Are there really children here? I'm sure one or two can slip through, but I highly doubt that a lot of minors use this website. I mean, you can tell by the general intellect of most players (excluding the beggars lol) that they are adults (or so I would hope).
polor12 Posted June 22, 2019 #12 Posted June 22, 2019 that is one problem some casino do have.. when i some.. unlike stake some casinos need a id verification. phone bill etc.. with selfie holding a sign with a note and today date.. which stake only needs a email addy..now the rules of gambling varies in different countries. especially in online gambling.. there is an age requirement and some countries ban gambling altogether.. with btc is very difficult .. is only transfer from one wallet to the other.. while other spots need a cc info. there are plenty ways to try not minors to gamble but they will always find a way to by pass it..
niki014 Posted June 22, 2019 #13 Posted June 22, 2019 i personally dont see any dif between 16-17 and 18 tbh like with alcohol and smoking yeah but with gambling nah i cant judge the kids playing in casinos cuz i started gambling in online websites at the age of 13 about the solution thing i dont think there is one even if the parents tell them not to gamble they cant stop them
CntryBoy Posted June 22, 2019 #14 Posted June 22, 2019 I agree that it is much too easy for "kids" or those under 18 to get onto gambling sites. Unfortunately, without KYC requirements, which completely negates the "anonymity" on crypto, it cannot be stopped. There are a lot of sites that simply require you to check a box saying "I am over 18 years old" or something like that to be able to proceed.
peel1 Posted June 23, 2019 #15 Posted June 23, 2019 they will put KYC on gambling sites in the future. will this ruin privacy kinda cuz you wont be able to use normal web gambling sites. But the deep web gambling sites will keep going on without KYC and with full privacy
wry Posted June 23, 2019 #16 Posted June 23, 2019 It's the internet, it's also too easy for trolls, scammers, and all around jerks to enter sites as well. That's what you get with a global network that almost anyone with a computing device can access. Of all of those, under 18 bothers me the least. I also agree with @peel1, KYC or something similar will eventually come to gambling sites and that is going to be a real downer for you privacy fans out there.
Tomki Posted June 23, 2019 #17 Posted June 23, 2019 Their choice, we can't change all peoples on the world. Very hard really. When i was depression and i understand all what happened. Just i'm happy single now. Animals and plants are awesome than humans but we have respect peoples when human is angry when is sick, better stay be silent. Regards!
cointikka Posted June 23, 2019 #18 Posted June 23, 2019 👍Interesting observation. There is nothing that can be done by Bitcoin casino websites as KYC is not mandatory at the moment, may be in the future. But, parents can stop their children from using Gambling website by monitoring Home internet as well as mobile internet. Still, they will be able somehow access them as we have all be their and we do know How stupid we were and How much we use to love all the wrong things in this world. So, until KYC is made mandatory, nothing can be done.
kayke94 Posted June 23, 2019 #19 Posted June 23, 2019 yes i agree its to easy, but setting up kyc takes all the privacy away
Burgerwcheese Posted June 23, 2019 #20 Posted June 23, 2019 Kids do drugs, kids drink alcohol, kids do lots of stuff they aren't supposed to. Kids been getting into porn sites for years, they'll get into the same sites adults do...I could care less as I was gambling in high school playing street dice...
viktorbitoin Posted June 23, 2019 #21 Posted June 23, 2019 children are now advanced and can earn money. if they enter the gambling site, it would be better if they do not steal money from their parents and other people, but use the bonuses to get started
HighDamage Posted June 23, 2019 #22 Posted June 23, 2019 In my opinion, for now children see Gambling as just a game that does not risk him directly. But unwittingly, it will slowly incite the thinking and mentality of these children (in contrast to those who have grown up, will be far able to control mentality and thoughts)
jualid Posted June 23, 2019 #23 Posted June 23, 2019 Yeah, not only csgo skins but also dota 2 items also. You can betting your items from some games which makes some underage person to gamble. I think this is the problem why kids know about gambling and start to gamble. Crypto also did that, i mean no regulate about underage person
Kate Posted June 23, 2019 #24 Posted June 23, 2019 Yeah it is too easy thats why KYC is important but also it is hated by everyone at the same time so ckearly not the way to go but what can we do anyhow ?

Yeah like what Jakubb said that dina stated that he also stated after stating what she stated, its impossible. which is not what i also state, its impossible. But ateast we do our part in what we can.
