The psychology of gambling

Have you ever wondered about the psychology that surrounds our gambling hobby?

What is it that makes us come back to the same places, the same bets, the same losses and rarely the win?

Have you ever wondered why the urge is strong to play - yet ... you don't cash out when you win?

I recently thought to myself "When I lose I lose. When I win... I still lose. What is my goal if it is not to win?"

I am baffled by the trance. It is fun, yes. It is a rush when you hit a great win. absolutely.

I often feel a madness or crazy "on-tilt" feeling as I am on the way to zero. Lol.

Lately I have been approaching it more like a fun way to pass some time, and not a way to make or break the monthly bottom line.

I budget in a certain amount - and intend to lose it. This way if I win, its a bonus. If I lose, then it is planned for.

What trips me out though is how it seems to grab us all. What do you think?

I think it is just the adrenalynn rush we get from the occasional wins. I love blackjack becasue of how unpredictable each hand is. Sometimes the most unexpected things happen when you least expect it. That thrill is hat keep sme hooked.

yea is mind game.. gotta have the will power and strong mind to resist the urges.. without it you will be lost in a world that will suck you dry.. and wont be able to come back from it.. but as long as you know the the rewards and the consequences of your decisions.. you are not lost.. you know why you comeback and why you cant stop... keep your head straight and strong. cause this is not meant for the weak minded,,

Thinking of the gambler is a topic that has been seen repeatedly. Anyone who thinks that there are two ways to get his profit back over him or lose everything. Gamblers are interesting people. They receive a dose of adrenaline than risking anything that makes them quite interesting. But to make a profit on betting the way is just one.

You set an amount that is intended for fun in the casino and it will necessarily remain there. You start playing and even win something above that amount you keep playing until you lose what you set to play. So you'll get out of the casino as you planned when you got in. Your win will be the pleasure of the game. Like when you go to a restaurant, you have a budget that you leave before you leave and you go to the casino the same way. Then you will never have heavy financial losses from betting

Nowadays people keep on playing is because of financial trouble and also another one is because of the feeling that they get when they had won and want it again .

The psychology of gambling is definitely not a healthy one for mental well being in the long run. The amounts of stress induced can actually make you feel like you are going totally crazy. :S
