MarkusEmo Posted July 11 #1 Posted July 11 Stake is running the "Brady's Two Threes" basketball promo again, where if your moneyline bet loses but a specific player hits two three-pointers in the first quarter, they pay you out anyway. It sounds great on paper, but hitting two threes in the opening 12 minutes is actually a pretty rare stat line even for elite shooters. Have any of you guys ever had a dead slip saved by this exact scenario, or is this just one of those impossible marketing promos?
autumneon Posted July 11 #2 Posted July 11 I saw someone on Twitter claim it triggered for them once with Klay Thompson a while back, but honestly that feels like the only plausible scenario. Two first quarter threes from a roole player just seems like Stake fishing for a highlight that almost never lands.
Wicknda Posted July 11 #3 Posted July 11 had a bet on the bucks last month and lillard sunk two quick ones in the first but the slip still died cuz the team lost by 15 lol it felt like a mini miracle until i checked the balance
wrenienne Posted July 11 #4 Posted July 11 Klay Thompson really is the only name that makes this promo feel remotely realistic.
havenlia Posted July 11 #5 Posted July 11 i kinda have to push back on this being total marketing fluff, i actually saw it light up last season with anfernee simons when he caught fire early and my blazers bet still tanked. it's rare but it hits more often than you'd think for guys who always take the first quarter heat check
sophnda Posted July 11 #6 Posted July 11 I always treat it as a pure insurance bet compared to those boosted odds offers, and the insurance has way more value if you're already leaning on a dog anyway. The math makes more sense to me than praying for a parlay miracle since the shooter qualifier is independent from the final score.
Strikera38 Posted July 12 #7 Posted July 12 I would rather take a slightly worse payout and use the profit boost option instead of chasing this insurance, because the boost at least hits instantly when your bet wins instead of praying for a miracle stat line.
leopyde7bx Posted July 12 #8 Posted July 12 ngl it does hit once in a blue moon, but i still treat it like bonus insurance not somethin id realy chase ?
CryptoLion52 Posted July 12 #9 Posted July 12 I’ve seen some players pull it off, but yeah, it definitely feels like a long shot! Still, it’s a cool promo to give you a little backup if things go south!
