honestly i find that outfield players still have a bigger emotional pull over a whole tournament, like a striker scoring 5 games in a row stays in peoples minds more then a keeper with one shootout.

Kind of strange that after a whole tournament of buildup the main story ends up being a keeper standing in the right spot for 120 minutes and then guessing correctly twice. Still, it is a nice change from the usual parade of forwards getting all the headlines.
