i feel like it really depends on the coach's energy levels but also the depth of both squads, like if youre coaching man city and england thats basically the same core players right? so would that actually make it easier or harder in terms of scouting and tactics do you think?

Honestly it only works if they delegate scouting and fitness monitoring properly, otherwise the dual role just means both teams get a burnt out coach by mid season. I’d say let the assistant handle 90% of the club training drills and just keep the manager for big picture tactics, that way neither side suffers.
