Aazzah Posted June 26, 2019 #1 Posted June 26, 2019 So this is just out of curiousity guys but why did you start gambling? I staerted gambling a couple years back to try and win a bit of extra money. I orignally started to gamble CS:GO Skins then it turned into Crypto. My aim is to end up withdrawing to my bank to then be able to save up or buy things in person. That's why i started gambling. Why did you?
Jakubb Posted June 26, 2019 #2 Posted June 26, 2019 I think I first started gambling back when I was very young, around 11 and i wagered candy with my friends meanwhile playing childish poker. Then later on, skipping few years. Cs:go came out, i started to gamble more professionally and wagered over $30,000 there. Now I'm in the step of life where I gamble bitcoin and that's all because I just like earning something extra without actually putting much effort into it. I like getting something new, mostly for free. It's crazy how I'm always having the odds turned against me, but I still chase it. Thanks for the topic, really interesting.
barbaris Posted June 26, 2019 #3 Posted June 26, 2019 The goal of each player is to win a little or a lot of money. Some people like the process of the game, these sensations, the adrenaline rush. I started gambling a long time ago, I just like it. Stake has taken gambling to a new level and I like to spend time more and more here.
ivaylo2000 Posted June 26, 2019 #4 Posted June 26, 2019 Like any gambler and I came to the beginner's luck. So, after my first big bet with a bet of a small amount of money, I said, "It's a pretty good way to make some money over a certain period of time and just lose if I do not try again." But with time and profits, the adrenaline influx that I received every time I earned grew with them. But then the losses went along with the winnings Even in most of the times they were much bigger than my profits. And just when it is time to give up, I get a big sum of money and everythink start from the begining. Someone track my profit and see when i tired to lose and go quit gambling, then he throws me a sum of money, so he gets me back into his nets
kuba122388 Posted June 26, 2019 #5 Posted June 26, 2019 When steam released Cs:go i started playing on roulette sites, crashes etc. One time i had advert on this kind of site. That was bitcoin site advert, (not stake) but i checked that out. Then i becomed addicted to gambling. I was spending all time there. Finally I got out of this habbit and stopped losing most of my money :P. Last holidays i found stake and i was winning here a lot. I joined this community in 2018 and I'm here so far I hope that my luck will come back soon. Have a nice day and good luck
CntryBoy Posted June 26, 2019 #6 Posted June 26, 2019 I blame my family for my love of gambling. My family has always been a family of gamblers. I can remember back when I was young, my parents, grandparents, along with a couple of my aunts and uncles used to host regular poker games for family and friends. Whenever we had a family get together for holidays or whatever reason, a poker game would always break out. I was around 6 or 7 the first time I played in one of the family nickel/dime poker games, and thus my love of gambling was born...
9lives Posted June 26, 2019 #7 Posted June 26, 2019 Many years ago I needed money pretty bad so a friend told me to try out the casino. I said I don't know how to play anything and he said he would teach me. Long story short that night I ended up coming up with double the amount of money I needed. Ever since then though, I have lost massive amounts of money and won massive amounts of money. I still play because I love that feeling you get when you hit big!
Burgerwcheese Posted June 26, 2019 #8 Posted June 26, 2019 I can’t remember exactly when I started gambling. In the past, it had always been about fun. You put down $20 and pray for a win. If it’s a close game, the nerves build up and you start shaking and talking to whatever god you believe in. In the moment, you’re sincerely saying that you’ll start praying again or you’ll do whatever the god pleases if your side wins. When you lose, your day is ruined. When you win, it’s orgasmic. But for me, it wasn’t until July of 2015 that it turned into something else entirely. My strategy was simple: I bet as much as I had in my online bankroll on things that had a high likelihood of happening. Rarely playing spreads, I mainly played money lines (or teams to win straight up). I was mostly betting on live action. Whenever a team or side was already up by a significant margin, I’d bet a lot to win very little. Other times, I’d play before the game started. It all depended on when the right value would present itself. For example, the Patriots were playing at home against the Jaguars in week 3 of the 2015 NFL season. The money line was -1050 ($1050 to win $100) and I still thought this a great deal. I bet $9592.52 to win $913.57 knowing the value would never come close to -1050. It would take the Jaguars being up by two touchdowns. At that point, the Patriots would get something close to even odds of $100 to win $100, and I would bet on them to win anyway. I know what you’re thinking: “Wow, you are crazy. That’s a lot of money.” My counterargument: “In what world do you think the Jaguars could have possibly won that game?” I call this a life savings bet. I’d put everything I own on the Patriots winning because there was just no way a team led by Tom Brady would lose at home to Jacksonville. Going into this matchup, New England was 91-15 all time in Brady’s home starts. Even if Tom Brady got hurt and Jimmy Garoppolo came in, I still would have picked the Patriots. The idea behind this strategy was not to hit a grand slam, but to win a little and let that amount continue to build over time. I liken it to the offensive style of the 2014 and 2015 Kansas City Royals, who hit singles left and right and win games that way. I find it very fitting that I used some of the money I won to buy tickets to Game 5 of the World Series, the game in which they beat the Mets to become champions. Though their playing style isn’t flashy or easy to root for, it’s methodical and it works. I won and lost games that had a significant impact on my bankroll, but the triumphs and rock bottoms helped my maturity as a gambler. Since many of my bets are to win small amounts, these aren’t as exciting as the ones where I won thousands of dollars in one sitting. I want to point out that, even with success, I still admit that I had/have a gambling addiction. I say had because at least now I can stop and assess when I do and don’t want to play. If you are playing for fun with money you can afford to lose, that’s fine. If you are playing because you want to work towards a financial goal, stop immediately. For yourself and everyone around you.

Etude Posted June 27, 2019 #13 Posted June 27, 2019 I think the reason I started gambling is because I find it fun and interesting in the first place, well the rest is history until the present day.

bobdole Posted June 27, 2019 #15 Posted June 27, 2019 Gambling runs in my family and boy do they love to gamble. Constantly having been exposed to that surely influenced via osmosis lmao. But the main thing that makes me want to gamble is the allure of being able to turn a small amount of money into a very large amount of money with no real work involved. In fact it's making money via doing something fun however more often than not it doesn't end out that way.
kaleemmalik071 Posted June 27, 2019 #16 Posted June 27, 2019 earning quick money was the first thing who push me to the dark world
jinz Posted June 27, 2019 #17 Posted June 27, 2019 I was influenced by my Aunts to play bingo when I was young. Entering online gambling using crypto is my choice as I wanted to have more coin holdings and I used to think that playing with martingale strategy will give me stable amount of coins every week because I saw one of my online friend boast his weekly withdrawals from a faucet dice site using the said strategy. But lessons learned from experiencing martinfail.
davinmark Posted June 27, 2019 #18 Posted June 27, 2019 the way i start my gambling was when i dont really have so much money, so i was just thinking that how to get easy money and since then i fall into gambling world till now
GKD09 Posted June 27, 2019 #19 Posted June 27, 2019 10 hours ago, Aazzah said: I orignally started to gamble CS:GO Skins 10 hours ago, Jakubb said: Cs:go came out, i started to gamble more professionally 9 hours ago, kuba122388 said: When steam released Cs:go i started playing on roulette sites Wow looks like there are quite the number of CS:GO gamblers here. I too started gambling with csgo skins. At first I was not sure how it works - all my friends told me to be careful it could be scams. They were even scared of logging in with steam But yeah at first my plan was to use some of the skins I had won in game and to hopefully get better skins. I out of all my friends came out with the best inventory ever so slowly. It started with a Statrak P2000 Pulse I still remember - yet I was over the moon for some reason. I went on to win more and more skins with only what I had started with - around $5 worth of skins. I was able to play patiently and was happy with whatever I got. Few months and years later, all these small profits turned out to accumulate to around $400 worth of skins. I then realised I could simply use this to buy more games later - I wouldn't have to spend my own money. But now I'd prefer to take that out and use it more in real life. Even if it's a shoe or a keyboard whatever. To my luck after stupid VGO took over - which I was very disappointed, I came across Stake (the first cryptogambling site I found). At first it didn't seem like the place I should be at. Now I'm glad I found it. And yes my goal is to take all this crypto and convert it to cash or to cashout to a card which I could finally use it to buy anything really. But I will always keep some spare amount to keep playing. I love gambling online - to try out new strats etc.
Kate Posted June 27, 2019 #20 Posted June 27, 2019 Umm i usually didnt i just came to stake to have fun i just came here from another forum didnt know anything about this site and later on when i played the games it was fun.
williamshennie9 Posted June 27, 2019 #21 Posted June 27, 2019 I started gambling from a young age with informal bets with friends etc. Then as soon as I walked into my local casino I was hooked. Ever since I was old enough to gamble at the casino, I've been hooked ever since.
neich Posted June 27, 2019 #22 Posted June 27, 2019 for me everything started from csgo. the time i came back to play csgo it was a complete new thing for me to trade skins, a few months later i noticed that you can "Gamble" with these skins. after i joined csgo gambling it took like 3 years to find out about crypto gambling. thats the short form how i joined gambling.
Sped Posted June 27, 2019 #23 Posted June 27, 2019 You made me start gambling you wally. I was just a normal person enjoying life, until I met you then got addicted and the big shaft by all sites haha. But seriously we've been through a lot, and its all your fault
wngo123 Posted June 27, 2019 #24 Posted June 27, 2019 I was fascinated with cryptocurrency market and wanted to invest in cryptocurrency but didn't have a lot of funds, so I was looking for other alternative to get bitcoins for example and then found out that there are actually casinos online where you ca play with bitcoins and other cryptocurrencies. I found out this idea really cool and because of how fast and easy it works and there is no bureaucracy about it. I decided to stay and give it a chance. I didn't win anything but then I found out about primedice and shortly after stake was introduced and I just felt with love in the games of stakes. And to be honest I'm here because I just love to play those games. If I win that's fine, if I loose thats ok too. But I just love to play them. so it's not about money anymore, but of course I still hope to win big one day.
