Hoffguy Posted June 27, 2019 #1 Posted June 27, 2019 So we know bitcoin is on the rise at the moment which is great. But who really knows where it is going to stop? Maybe it will just start going down again soon? It's getting close to it's last peak this year, which makes me think it won't just keep going up. Then I get this in inbox today... I mean how irresponsible is that?! They are saying the 'downtrend is over' and advising people to buy-in... that's so dumb I think. Some people might read that and believe it. Who really knows when the downtrend will be over? or even if it will ever be over? Isn't that the whole point of crypto? That it goes up and down, and the people that make money in trading know when to get in with their trades and get out? I don't think i've ever seen such a bad piece of advertising before! Hope it don't gull some people in. Do you think this is bad? Or you think it's ok to post stuff like this... saying basically that the bitcoin downward trend is now over, and people should buy it?
barbaris Posted June 27, 2019 #2 Posted June 27, 2019 We really do not know for what purposes they disseminate this information and perhaps this will bring some benefit to them. In the world of cryptocurrency, you can not believe anyone, because everyone wants to deceive you to earn.
nikowin88 Posted June 27, 2019 #3 Posted June 27, 2019 Well SADly there will Always be plenty of people trying to take advantage of others ignorance and greed. To me Bitcoin rising is both a good news and a bad news. A good news because somehow it show more people believe in his future but also a bad one because it also caused by traders and people who don't care about btc but just want to trade it to win more $.those people are the ones pulling btc out of its initial path : being decentralized and anonymous money. But it's also because of them mostly that btc gained so much value. So can't just exclude the trading part. Last I would say that if someone falls in a basic trap like hyip, ponzi scheme or false profits promises we can't blame only the scammer. He is to be blame for sure. And to be prosecuted by the law if possible but people have to be careful with their own money and not just buy any insane profit promise one can make. For having hang around MLM and Hyip for a while I can say that most of time you just have to bring basic proof ( means easily manipulating) of payment to engage people trust. And of you give choice to people between something that pay likewise all the same business, meaning reasonable and has serious background etc and something brand new, that claim paying x10 all other same business backed by light proof of serious... People choose the second one. And after they being scammed cry everywhere after the scammer. But man they had enough to know. But at some point they chooses to believe. Because they wanted it to be true. Nothing rational in all that. Just greed. So now I have less compassion for all those poor people. If you want to invest you have to : acceptaccept that there a part of risk. 2 do your own fact checking and not just rely on what the crowd say... It's a bit rude but if people were less greedy there will be less room for all those scammers..
allisonn Posted June 27, 2019 #4 Posted June 27, 2019 There's no ok or not ok in the crypto world, almost everyone's morals are left at the door. Take a look at the other section of the forum where you can spam advertise pretty much anything crypto related. Do you think anyone is actually sharing the good stuff with random strangers? Anyway technically they are not lying, the downtrend was over. The price increased. They were even nice enough to include a disclaimer.
nhoyasim101 Posted June 28, 2019 #5 Posted June 28, 2019 investing in crypto is a high risk we can read this to almost all of the disclaimer in exchange, which is true i think, but on the other side imagine if you buy btc way back late of 2016 when 1btc = 1000$ even it was down to 3k last year you still profit on it, i got your point does anyone really knows that downtrend is over? for me i think btc enthusiast is growing everyday maybe this is the reason of uptrend, if that is so i think btc would not go back to 3k+ but obcourse the downtrend is not over, coz it is the nature in trading there is no uptrend if no downtrend
williamshennie9 Posted June 28, 2019 #6 Posted June 28, 2019 I think bitcoin is especially risky because it is not regulated. The drop from $13,000 to $11,000 was clear manipulation of the markets by whales. So nobody knows what will happen to the price, except the whales I guess.
DreamStage Posted June 28, 2019 #7 Posted June 28, 2019 That's not bad at all considering its a trading market topic... You buy when the price gets lower so on the next bull run you take out profit. Either way i am not going to judge their marketing campaign still it was the perfect time for them.
Etude Posted June 28, 2019 #8 Posted June 28, 2019 Well I guess they are indeed a little bit predatory in their marketing tactics employed in regards to mentioning that the downtrend is over.
Kate Posted July 1, 2019 #9 Posted July 1, 2019 Well why be mad at them ? You also cant say that they are one of the whales right ? So ask that how dumb question yourself 😛 lol. They just needed people to do trades lol.
Etude Posted July 3, 2019 #10 Posted July 3, 2019 Their intention and objective is clearly to seize this opportunity to bring in more customers. Well lets face it that almost all marketing is of the same basis of method but just at a different level.

Well some use SEO, others use google ads and everything else but the main reason is there: advertisement for their company. They just grabbed the oportunity and reached out for it You can see how much they combined the same basis methods of other companies where they take some topic and asume it for their advertisement.

BLXN Posted July 18, 2019 #13 Posted July 18, 2019 Advertising is malicious by its intent. They need commission. The market is driven - and most of it is blind at that. it's is the available force the trading firms use to make their own money.
User100 Posted July 24, 2019 #14 Posted July 24, 2019 I think that companies like these are just trying to earn on their customers and nothing more. And I very much hope that people will not be led to such a deception.

In a ethical world where everyone is held accountable for their actions, such methods would prove ineffective... However, everyone knows that it’s hard as hell to separate yourself from it’s competitors (especially online) so it’s probably understandable why they would advertise with intent...
rerosalind Posted August 3, 2019 #17 Posted August 3, 2019 This is actually one of the whale's methods of making money. they give rumors that are not true and they make money from people who believe them. You absolutely should not believe the untrue rumors

That is the worst part of ecosystem, the advertising without control. So many hyips, Ponzi, Scam sites advertises and many people are hooked daily. I know because I was one of them. It costs me quite amount of dollars to understand and learn about. Now, every time I can I help to those who ask.
manas Posted August 3, 2019 #19 Posted August 3, 2019 I think bitcoin is especially risky because it is not regulated. and for trade go with main stream brokers will do the good result always book profit and hold that much in trading account what you can afford to lose. you can not believe on any one on crypto market
samelinda Posted August 3, 2019 #20 Posted August 3, 2019 Whales are acquiring the Crypto market. Bitcoin and altcoin prices may rise and fall due to whale calculations. They can increase the price of Bitcoin to create more effects for many others. and when the price has increased, whales will sell Bitcoin to push prices down
helenshery Posted August 3, 2019 #21 Posted August 3, 2019 Ever since I started investing in Bitcoin, I have heard the same news and I was scared and sold Bitcoin at a price lower than the price I bought. but the following days, the price of Bitcoin increased from $ 6000 to $ 12000 over 2 months. I knew then that I was cheated
