Kate Posted July 2, 2019 #1 Posted July 2, 2019 Stake you all know the site and the giveaways they do in various different ways and one of them is by hosting races and i was thinking about the races. You all know the races are held where 1000$ or more given away to users but the thing is there are highrollers in stake and most of the spots are gotten by them . So i was thinking what if stake could create races where highrollers wouldn't be able to take part for a specific period of time like 1 hour or something and then all the non high rollers could. What do you guys think about it ? This is just a suggestion since high rollers only win most of the time thats why.
barbaris Posted July 2, 2019 #2 Posted July 2, 2019 Unfortunately, this is so. Only players with very high bids can get into the list of race winners. I would like to see something similar for ordinary players who can not afford to bet in several bitcoins.

It would be kinda hard to single out lower budget individuals for races because the high rollers could easily hop in and take the prize with hidden stats.

GKD09 Posted July 2, 2019 #7 Posted July 2, 2019 We guys are definitely up for it, at least like 1/4 the price pool and with like 50 winners. I'm sure all the low rollers would love it. But Stake has changed the 10 to 30 winners and now 100 winners which actually gives us a chance to win from like 100 to 60s if you wager constantly with a base bet of around 400 to 3k sats. You dont have to wager all that much and if you profit while wagering it gives you the advantage to go higher and higher. I once made it to the 30s to 40s with just one 2k or 4k rain and got up to 100k at the end of the race. So it is possible you just have to strategize. How would Stake limit the high rollers from playing also? Not sure how they would do that... 🤔
Etude Posted July 2, 2019 #8 Posted July 2, 2019 Hmm the problem here is that how would be you be able to segregate Highrollers from Non Highrollers since anyone can simply become a High Roller instantly with enough funds being deposited and starts playing with said funds later. If anything this would make most of the VIPs not able to participate in the race then.
CntryBoy Posted July 2, 2019 #9 Posted July 2, 2019 While I do think this or some form of it may be a good idea to allow some of the "low rollers" to have a chance to win some bigger prizes, I just honestly don't see how Stake would be able to pull it off. As mentioned, some high rollers could create new accounts to appear as low rollers. It's just the world we live in that those with more funds reap the bigger rewards. Even having a smaller balance can allow you to make decent money during the races by being patient and playing smartly.

Plus, everyone can become HR if they really want it. Participation in the race is not necessary if you feel that it is expensive for you, just watch the stream, encourage your friends if they participate, and get some rain during. Learn to consider giveaways not as a means of safe income of large sums, there are always risks of losing more. But first of all it is fun to compete with others and not an attempt to win something. When everyone understands this, everything will be different for you.

I actually think this is a brilliant idea Kate, this would give all players a chance to compete with each other with level playing fields. I also agree the stake races are controlled by the high rollers so the players who can't bet as much and even players that do bet a lot but still not enough to compete, this gives the a chance. They should three sets of different races, one for the high rollers, one for the low rollers, and a race for everyone to compete like what they offer now. Because I feel like even if you kept high rollers out for the first hour like you suggested, they would still dominate the race as soon as they joined. But for the low rollers do a prize pool of like $250.00 instead of 1k or 5k I think this is a great idea, unfortunately when it comes to Casino s it's always about the high rollers. They get all the special attention lol.. You should suggest this to @Edwardthough because it's still a great idea.

All giveaways are extras for everyone to enjoy. It is about playing the game that is supposed to be fun
seacmun Posted July 2, 2019 #13 Posted July 2, 2019 The race created because they want to earn profits when all players are trying to win and reach the top position. With low rollers will limit the risk ratio, so if it is accepted, the reward will be lower.
Kingcashedout Posted July 2, 2019 #14 Posted July 2, 2019 i was thinking about this the other day..... i think the races would be a little more interesting if a few things were changed ....like instead of it being a race kinda make it more like a tournament where theres a set amount of currency and see who wagers the most off of that set amount of currency.....like lets say were all racing and you set a maximum amount of currency to be used to accumulate the highest amount wagered in a certain amount of time. so lets say for this race the max amount is 1eth so i decide to start off the race with .1eth and the race is gonna last for only 60 minutes. once the race starts lets say off of the .1eth i started with 10 minutes into the race ive wagered 5eth but then i bust so i decide to depo another .1eth then with 10 minutes left in the race i bust again and at that point ive wagered 13eth. so i decide fuck it imma dep another .8eth to try and finish the race off strong so in total ive already depod 1eth so my wager amount for the race will be as far as the last depo will take me becuase after that i can no longer depo as i have already met the 1eth max and if i bust i bust the race is done for me and at that point whatever my total wagered amount is is final. soo it gives everybody a fair chance to win...

Very true but the hard part is how do you change it. because high rollers would just be able to make small bets... They would have to have like a request form so people can ask to do it

Very interesting idea. But not sure it would work because the whole idea of the race is to get those high rollers play and spend. But it would be good to see another separate event where poor low rollers like us could participate. but at the same time we need to be careful what we wish for. If we get low rollers race then the awards will be low as well , 1 dodge? ok just kidding I think when many low rollers participate then the prize could be actually very high maybe even $250 - $500 so yea why not try it?

neich Posted July 4, 2019 #18 Posted July 4, 2019 you dont have to be a HR to get a good rank on races, its all about the way to wager i guess, a few days ago i started wagering with only 10k satoshi and made it to rank 59. and i dont think that it is possible to do a race for lowrollers?

bobdole Posted July 4, 2019 #20 Posted July 4, 2019 I doubt they would be interested in doing that because at the end of the day they are a business and giving to players that hardly spend at the site doesn't make much sense in terms of making money. It would be nice but they already have 100 places in some races so even people who don't wager a lot have a shot.
