England and Argentina share one of the most famous rivalries in international football. Their matches are known for their intensity, history, and memorable moments.

The rivalry became especially significant after the 1986 FIFA World Cup quarterfinal. In that match, Diego Maradona scored two unforgettable goals. The first, known as the "Hand of God," was scored using his hand and was allowed by the referee. The second, often called the "Goal of the Century," saw Maradona dribble past several England players before scoring. Argentina won the match 2–1 and went on to win the World Cup.

Another memorable meeting came in the 1998 FIFA World Cup Round of 16. The match ended 2–2 after extra time, and Argentina won on penalties. It is also remembered for the red card shown to England's David Beckham.

In the 2002 FIFA World Cup, England defeated Argentina 1–0 thanks to a penalty scored by David Beckham, giving England a measure of revenge for earlier defeats.

Over the years, England and Argentina have produced many exciting matches featuring legendary players such as Diego Maradona, Lionel Messi, David Beckham, and Wayne Rooney.

Today, England vs Argentina remains one of football's greatest rivalries. Whenever the two teams meet, fans around the world expect a passionate, competitive, and unforgettable match.
