Surrendering in blackjack and house edge

How much would a surrender option in blackjack reduce the house edge from the current 0.48%? Surrendering allows you to forfeit the hand and retain half your bet. If you play perfect basic strategy you should surrender a 16 against a 9, 10 and A and a 15 against a 10 because it will save you money long term.

Why doesn't stake offer the option of surrender when it is standard practice across other online casinos?

I think offering a surrender can lower the house edge even more. Given the fact that the house edge in blackjack is the lowest out of all the games already, I doubt they will add surrender, which will lower it even more.

This is an excellent idea with a feature that helps gamblers minimize losses when they are afraid. I believe this feature will soon be reviewed and approved to be applied to the Stake platform as soon as possible.

I agree with will.i am and think he has the right idea here.   Doubtful it will be coming to the site anytime soon 😞

While I wouldn't mind seeing them add a surrender option, I do agree with this.  I'm not sure Stake would want to make their worst house edge game even lower by doing this.  I believe the game is great the way it is... besides even if you have a hand you would want to surrender, why not just play it out and take your chances?  This is gambling after all. 😎
