bobdole Posted July 10, 2019 #1 Posted July 10, 2019 So I noticed Eddie posted a bit of info on his Twitter regarding Blackjack on Stake and he said because the average player here doesn't follow basic strategy, this results in a -4% house edge! Blackjack has the lowest house edge on the site yet it's often called rigged in chat no doubt by people not playing correctly. Part of this is playing with your gut as opposed to playing with what is mathematically going to give you the best odds. You may get lucky in doing so a few times but in the long run this will not work. Here's the chart Eddie posted to give you the best odds but it's missing a few bits of info if you're just getting into the game so I'll add that below. Left Column is your hand/card total - Top Row is the Dealers Hand H = Hit S = Stand P = Split DD = Double Down H/P = Split if Doubling Down is allowed otherwise Hit (Stake allows Doubling Down after Splitting so Split) H/R = Hit if Surrender is not an option (Stake doesn't have option to surrender so just Hit) Other Tips Never take insurance Keep this chart handy while you're playing if you're unsure what to do Follow the chart! It's mathematically proven to give you the best odds Doubling Down and Splitting is very important in giving you the low house edge so do it when it says to (also make sure to have enough balance to cover those plays) Remember this isn't a guarantee that you will win every time, the house still has an edge even when playing perfectly but in order to take advantage of the lowest house edge of any game on Stake you must follow the chart. Good Luck and I hope this helped some of you guys out!

I think that people that play blackjack will enjoy this table and be able to benefit from it!!! Super cool of you eddie to offer the players some extra knowledge and thank you for posting to forum as well for those people that don’t have a Twitter.

It is definitely interesting to hear that so many are playing "incorrectly" yet claiming scam... lol. The house edge is being destroyed if Eddie's comments are true, which I'm sure they are. I am sure he isn't too upset that so many are playing that way though...
williamshennie9 Posted July 13, 2019 #4 Posted July 13, 2019 Perfect basic strategy only brings the house edge down to its lowest, which is around 0.48% on Stake. So either way, the casino will still always win in the long run, even with perfect basic strategy.
robertkalinak Posted July 27, 2019 #5 Posted July 27, 2019 Yes, that is true william. Perfect basic strategy doesn't exist and casino always win. Key to be success is to stop gambling in profit
Enzo Posted July 29, 2019 #6 Posted July 29, 2019 I had asked Eddie about this when I first spoke to him on Telegram almost a month ago. I'm curious to know how well it works I just don't have the discipline to bet and bet that long following a strategy that won't exactly make me a lot of money, and its not fun even
