concertrate Posted July 11, 2019 #1 Posted July 11, 2019 I don't know if I'm just getting old but I feel like there are lots of community communication channels and I'm confused when to use which and which are used for what. Chat for chat while gaming. Forum for other discussion Discord for? Twitch? Can someone explain the differences and benefits or uses for me please? I may just be getting old now that I'm past 30 lol

They generally, of course, for chatting purpose 😃 For forum, we are not only for chatting but sharing each mind and any insights from their side. It's great for us to learn something new in here. Stake chat, discord, twitch or else was almost the same, like the purpose that I mention above. Because we have many different things that can't we know, so it was the best way to have many social media to connect with people that not using the apps. You can use just one platform that you really enjoy to use. Benefits are more like to have friends at Stake, and someone can be your BFF.
Aazzah Posted July 11, 2019 #3 Posted July 11, 2019 I think that they are brilliant in my opinion... Not to much and not to few of them. I think it's just right! But the different uses are forum is for sharing opinions and stuff. And chat is for generally chatting and meeting new friends and that. I think that discord is for mostly giveaways and notifying us on new updates and new challenges/giveaways. Twitch is of course for streaming races and giveaways sometimes. But yeah that's the different benefits and uses... In my opinion.
barbaris Posted July 11, 2019 #4 Posted July 11, 2019 I like that many communication channels. After all, the information on them is not always the same. And on each of these channels giveaways and other. And I like it.
cukup2 Posted July 11, 2019 #5 Posted July 11, 2019 I would rather use forumstake to find the latest strategies and information from a web stake, in the forum as well as getting knowledge and information we can get rewards. and use the national chatrom to communicate with some of my friends or to just joke while doing a roll.
williamshennie9 Posted July 11, 2019 #6 Posted July 11, 2019 I think Stake is just trying to increase the reach that they have. I mean they usually post announcements on all the platforms, depending on the level of importance. The most important ones, like downtime are always posted on the forum.
CntryBoy Posted July 11, 2019 #7 Posted July 11, 2019 I like the many different options, as it gives folks different ways of communicating with other players as well as some of the Stake staff. For me personally, I use mostly the Stake Forum, Telegram, and Twitter (which you left out). Different people prefer some platforms to others, so the variety is good for Stake to be able to reach more people, as some people surely only use one or two and not all of them. As far as what they are all for, that has been explained well above...

Climate1994 Posted July 11, 2019 #9 Posted July 11, 2019 I'm not interested in this, but any platform has different users. You may like to use the forum platform, but I want to use telegram, and my friend may prefer the Discord platform.

It is like an instant messenger and has a whole lot of cool features that make any site smart to be using it.
Etude Posted July 11, 2019 #11 Posted July 11, 2019 Well for me I think the more the better as each person might prefer one more than the others in their own choice of social / communication platform.
