when the race was going on I saw players online about 950, but when I opened the race menu I wanted to see who was leading the race suddenly I saw my position very far from the number of users who were online.

I became wondering whether the race was in accordance with the online or what ??

maybe friends here can explain what happened when the race started when users were online around 950 but our rank could be above 1000.

The only explanation I can really think of is that people could make bets and then got offline. But to be honest I don't really think you can get over 1000 rank in the race, I think at most you can get is like 700... Depending on the amount of people online and betting at the time. But yeah I think this is the only explanation to your question. I think people make bets and get offline or make bets rip and then be afk... to be honest I don't really know that's my best guess.

That is a very interesting question, I never really paid much attention to positions vs. the number it says are online at the time.  It could be what Aazaah has said, and I also wonder if the players that are playing as "Hidden" does this also not register as them being online?  I'm not really sure what else could cause this...

Hmm.   That is a good question.    Although I have never heard of anyone being in over 1000th place ... good question though and nice topic.   How is his possible ?   I don’t know if someone online would be someone who has auto bet on ?   Not sure .... I am curious now

hello friends it's also surprise for me too when idle in race max on race 700 and odds but online players more than 1000 above how it possible, but i think who are rolling in the race time those are counted for wagering and rest are ignored.hope there is some reasons  but we can't find the actual reasons.

I think next time I am available while a race is going on I am going to bet the smallest possible amount, since you have to wager something to be given a place in the standings.  This should put me in last place after my very first minimum bet, and see what my place is in relation to the number of folks it show are online at that time.  I'll have to do it right when the race starts to try and minimize the number of people that are online and then offline, this should give me a decent reading in the first couple of seconds since I would assume those racing are all online at the start of the race.

I think this is due to the fact that not everyone is participating in the race. Therefore, people can bet by losing or winning and hitting the list and pulling out of the game for lack of balance and so on.

i agree with azzahs statement  people could make bets and then got offline. But to be honest I don't really think you can get over 1000 rank in the race, I think at most you can get is like 700... I have never be aware of this observations, which I think is important in order no know that all numbers related somehow here in Stake are true.  Online users gives me a pretty close approach of success of the site and the best or worst hours to be gambling, as I am always trying to get the best of opportunities to earn.  Like, when we were chasing that 7 billion bonus,  users on line were about 800 so if anyone set an strategy to bet in order to get close enough to the 7billion bet will never works if online users number is incorrect.  Which is certain is that, when a race is on going and you don`t make a single bet you position is nonexistent and don`t shows in the board, once you place a small bet or something then you will see your position in the board.  This next race I will take a look over my position doing a very small first bet versus the users on line.  Let`s see if numbers make logic.  Good luck when racing !

That should not bother you.

I think that each of the participants in the race starts at 10000 position and while off the race those who are off-line and have not made a bet rank the ranking back and forth. Once a series of bets is made, the ranking begins to form only between the users participating in the race and everything comes to the spot

it seems like that doesn't make sense ... if it happened, it seems like there was a system error in the stake.
how could there be more people playing than the competition? it's just lying ...

if we say the stake is unfair, that is also impossible, because I myself admit that the stake is an online gambling site that is famous for being fair to its players,

so ... in my opinion this is an accidental mistake.

It is possible there a quite a few people who are connected and bettimg through the Stake API through the usage of Dicebot and so forth whereby they are not connected to the Chat Online stats.

I believe it shows you that you are offline if you are playing in ghost mode. I personally think that if people are racing, they should not be in ghost mode so there is more transparency for other players.

I agree and the more I think about it, this seems to be the most logical reason.  Every race that comes there seem to be more and more Hidden players.  I too think that to be able to join the races, they should not be able to play in ghost mode.

1stly, I feel people like me will just wager a few amount and go offline. Some people like me just wager and don't take part in the race, and you know immediately you wager, you are part of the race. You get?

Another problem is that there are so many alts account online and offline, that are taking part of the race and they wanna win something. I know for sure 30% of the number of users during race is an alt account, the original owner has several accounts that he is running and he is going off and on.

And some of these people also use bots. E.g Dicebots and Hilobots, so they go off and come on every minute, and they are not connected to chat.
