Aazzah Posted July 13, 2019 #1 Posted July 13, 2019 Heya guys! Making a quick forum topic on this... But, wouldn't it be cool if stake had an automatic balance conversion to GBP, USD, EUR and many other currencies? My idea would be that they could add this next to your balance at the top of the page that automatically converts your crypto balance into your preferred currency. Which would be so, so, so useful to us users because we then don't need to convert it in chat or via the internet... It would be much easier to use rather than then doing that all the time. Would anyone else be using this if they added this? And find it so useful? I certainly would! Let me hear your guys opinion on this
cukup2 Posted July 13, 2019 #2 Posted July 13, 2019 yes it's also true if the stake uses a system like that maybe we don't need to see how much our balance is in usd eu and other currencies, but for now if we want to check our curency via pm so I don't think there is any spam to see the exchange in chat rom, I know there are other webs that use the currency on the web next to our balance and that's really cool
bobdole Posted July 13, 2019 #3 Posted July 13, 2019 So it would just display your balance/bets in Fiat instead of crypto? That would be useful for us players however I don't think stake would incorporate that since they probably benefit from us not knowing exactly how much we're wagering, since it feels a lot easier to bet a couple thousand satoshis compared to 5 dollars psychologically. Kinda like how they use chips in real life casinos, I believe you're more prone to act reckless when you're not seeing dollar amounts.
wngo123 Posted July 13, 2019 #4 Posted July 13, 2019 If they don't want to have the balance displayed all the time next to your crypto balance then maybe at least they could introduce some calculator in the menu where you can just type your balance and see yourself because it could be really annoying to go to the website and check it all by yourself.
FotisNt Posted July 13, 2019 #5 Posted July 13, 2019 That have been suggested in the past, but not in the suggestions section so noone actually cared about it. Try posting suggestions there so Staff might see it easier!:D Anyways, I'd love to see an addition like that while most times I bust due to price unknowledge.

Let me hear your guys opinion on this I’m not really a fan of this idea just cuz the regulations for them to be able to do this would be so difficult and almost impossible I assume which is why you don’t see it at other sites. Or do you mean just like a calculator to figure it out ? That is what google is for !
Etude Posted July 13, 2019 #7 Posted July 13, 2019 Im personally not sure if this is a great idea for a cryptocurrency gambling site since converting to real foat value might make you play all the more cautiously. 😛

E to the tude. You once again make a very valid point !!! 🙂 but like I said previously, that is what google is good for !! You can very easily find it what your BTC is worth in USD ! Just type it in on google or download an app for this.

I tend to agree with this reasoning as to why they would not want to do it. To me it doesn't matter much either way, I've gotten so used to seeing only the crypto balances and knowing in my head what each coin is worth, it's a pretty simple conversion in my head. With that being said, it would be a nice feature so I wasn't required to do quick math... lol.
williamshennie9 Posted July 14, 2019 #10 Posted July 14, 2019 If Stake did this, it would add a whole new dynamic to Stake. I have noticed that they only work with crypto, never any fiat currency. It would be complex for them to comply with all the laws governing different fiat currencies.
hillowner45 Posted July 14, 2019 #11 Posted July 14, 2019 I'm all for the idea. It helps puts things into perspective when you can see the fiat amount of what you are actually throwing into the drain. It would no doubt put a leash on my emotions and pull me back to reality whenever I feel compelled to recover quickly by rage betting. Not to mention it would be a cool cosmetic feature to have that would set it apart from other sites.
