Username change

Lots of sites offer the ability to change your nick name on the site once every so often.   I don’t believe Stake offers this and I am so thankful because it is confusing and can be used to scam members who didn’t know you changed your name.  

 

What do you all think.   Should stake offer this option ?

I know stake doesn't add this. And also I think they should never add this! Only for the sole facts that you already stated and also the facts that it if they added this option... That there will be a ton more scandals and stuff. I honestly think that it would be a bad idea. But who knows they might add it soon. But hopefully not aye?  Have a good day!

I think they don't will add new settings to change new user, because sometimes there is troll can change to similar your nickname.

For example:

Paecga129 -> 129Paecga so no. I'm not agree with that. When they want insult you.

I think this option would not be a good thing, in my opinion the nickname is what matters least in a casino, people have to have the priority to bet and not worry about their nickname, so as you said this option would only favor really who wants to hide.

I like my username and I would never change it, but if I have to, I will probably use a random pick for my new username that uses same letters as my original username.  Maybe would be a good idea the switching of username through a bot that will do exactly that, random giving the new username using same letters you have.  What would be a reason why someone wanted to change username?  I can´t think right now at least in gone.  Good Luck.

hello friends its better to un change the  nickname provision .if its happen so many scammer use your  old nick name to create big blunders.so i am also think of this provision but now i change my mind set for not hacked or scammed my account.this time me also suggestion to not update this provision in stake.

Oh I agree completely.   I never really understood why any site allows this.   All it does is allow for confusion and gives scammers an easy way to take advantage of certain players!  

 

Why do you think some sites do this ?

I think they can keep track what are alts and what are mains.. is funny we can't change user name they can tell us apart by the email we used to open the acc.. I wanted to rename to apolaricecap.. has a ring to it..

I guess that option would be useful to everyone! I do actually wanna change my name into something cooler.:D Also I guess that it would be cool if Stake allow us to change our username just once or something.

I agree with you, I don't think they should add it. I honestly don't see a reason for someone changing their name other than to try to manipulate the system or to scam another player. To me, a name is just a name. What does it matter what your name is?

I disagree with you. We should have ability to change our username. I don't see how can you scam people when changing username. You can change username everywhere on the social media , forums, smarphone apps, dating apps you name it. But you can change on stake? What is the exact reason? I would love to change my username because I just made up this name randomly when I first signed up on stake. I didn't know I would stay here, so I just wrote some random letters and numbers. Now since I stayed and really like stake I ended up with this name and some people think I'm the bot especially on twitch streams (I decided to use the same name on twitch). This is really annoying. I even asked customer support and they denied my request.

This shouldn't be used in stake, we all know that this can be used for scamming and to clean out the name of a scammer.

In those sites that used this option, for sure they got lots of scammers incoming or who came and just escaped with ease because of this option. And why are you going to change your name here, if it's the only thing they know about you? Crazy Idea I guess, you'll make yourself lonely! 😂 And if stake will apply this, they should reset stats too.

I don't think that it should be allowed at Stake of all  places .  This place is crawling with scammers , skeemers , and scabs.

Why do you think other sites allow it ?    I never understood what their reasoning was for allowing this.

Yes I agree with that because stake community now is going with reputation based. Username shouldn’t be changed.

Yes!! I don't think it should be an option, because of all these scams, but they can offer it like once every 6-18 months, just in case someone really wants to.

Why do you all think other sites offer this option?   What is the benefit to offering this option to users for the site ?   I honestly can’t think of a single reason it would be beneficial for anyone.

if in the stake can change the name then I am sure there will be many people who will abuse it, because not everyone who plays in the stake aims to play gambling, there are some people who like to use gambling webs to make fraud and steal player balances and it is real . so if it is at stake, I will feel uncomfortable. Hopefully the stake doesn't allow the player to change his nickname.

Changing username is good option,

but i think so there is no need to change username as it it identity of you in front of other peoples.
the person who want to cheat or to make a fraud will need this kind of feature lot.

If we want to change username and want different username still we can create new account on stake with desired username(If available).

I don’t think stake should offer this option, I think it could lead to not only a lot of scandals by changing your name, but confuse users as well on site, and able to play yourself as somebody else just because you changed your name. I honestly don’t think this would be in stakes best interest.

I think its good that people cant change theire name, Ye it will confuse people and if you want to report someone and he changeses his name real quick you can't find that person anymore. Mayby they can make an option where you can change ur nickname every 6 months and you can only change capitals or like 1 or 2 letters.

I am very glad that Stake does not allow users to change their usernames, otherwise there would be complete chaos within the chat. nobody will know who is who etc. and people will abuse this.

I do not think this would be a good idea. in my opinion is that as soon as you picked a username you should need to stick to it. If stake would decide to make this available I think there should always be some kind of reference to the previous nickname so that other members always know who they are dealing with.

I dont think lot of scammers would take advantage of this because stake allowing to create as many accounts as you want is good enough for scammers to keep trying to scam other members.

Yeah stake doesnt offer this because beggars can easily change their name and take more loans from people easily with no way if lendee knowing it but you can ask support to change your name tho.

Changing username is not allowed is good thing.
Because
we need to keep our identity.
There are so less websites which may offers this option to change username.
