Rawci Posted July 20, 2019 #1 Posted July 20, 2019 I'm sure most of us have flipped out at least once before. I've been working towards trying to remain as chill as a cucumber but sometimes I still lapse. Anyone got any good tips to keep yourself from over reacting?

ivan8877 Posted July 20, 2019 #3 Posted July 20, 2019 Of course, sometimes anger is present during the game, it happens when there is no profit for a long time ... Personally, I try to calm down, think about something good ... Pour a glass of whiskey, if the day off ...😉 I noticed that I often get lucky when relaxed ...

Well first of all don’t bet whet you can’t afford to lose. Then you have no reason to get upset. And if your anger is bad enough you can’t control it then I highly suggest finding a different hobby because regardless of what your strategy is gambling is going to cause some anger and if you can’t control it then it’s time to walk away.
nattekut Posted July 20, 2019 #5 Posted July 20, 2019 I personally never get angry when I take losses, bust or miss a huge multiplier. For me gambling just is a way of entertainment and I do not have situations I get angry. Recently I even had a poker tournament which cost me 1000$ to enter the tournament. 2nd hand I got AA and I got busted by an idiot with 109 suited and hit 678 on the flop. I just started laughing so hard and did an 1000$ reentry and reached the final table winning almost 11k $. So I think those who get angry or start to tilt all the time really forget the essence of gambling. Gambling is a way of entertainment. but those who tilt just take gambling much to serious and really think they can make money or become rich from gambling. But well the truth it difference. However I have a good solution for tilting. I have seen this on a couple other gambling sites. I have seen 2 or 3 gambling sites in the past that have a tilt button. So as soon as you feel you are going to tilt you can push the button.By pushing the button you will not be able to place bet for the next 15-90 minutes depending on what settings you used for the button. I have seen the !bonzo command to mute you on chat for a while but I think such a button would be good as well. By pushing the button you exclude yourself for placing bets for a certain amount of minutes. During that period you can cool down and do not have the risk to do crazy bets while you are tilting
CntryBoy Posted July 20, 2019 #6 Posted July 20, 2019 I have learned that there really is no point in getting angry while gambling, as all it ends up doing in most cases is making us play poorly and rage betting. It is after all just a game, and losses are as much a part of it as winning. Sometimes it's nice to just take a break or switch tactics to try to calm yourself and come back with a clear head.
cukup2 Posted July 20, 2019 #7 Posted July 20, 2019 the same as I like losing control when I'm in a losing position, my anger overflows by doing allin on every bet I will play, as long as there are still balances for me to play if at first I have lost I will play with anger. so if I have lost and there is still a feeling of annoyance I can hold deposite because it will run out uselessly I must have played without rules, so I like to keep the balance in my friend so if I lose again I can't make a deposit and that very good for rearranging my anger to subside.
Aazzah Posted July 20, 2019 #8 Posted July 20, 2019 Hey there dude. I have honestly flipped out many of times when gambling... And I know that some of the people in this topic in the future will probably say don't gamble if you can't afford it. But honestly that has nothing to do with it. I gamble and I can't really afford to lose but it doesn't really stop me from flipping out. To say that I gamble and I also have a lot of mental health problems... It doesn't really help but I am on medication to calm me down but yeah. I have flipped out many of times when busting. It is frustrating but you have to deal with it. What I normally do is when I am angry, I try and take deep breaths and get a cold drink and listen to some ASMR. which actually calms me down a lot. It really does. So try it out one time when you bust. Remember try and keep it cool and stay calm. Have a great day!

Hiii Rawci For me it`s normal to over reacting when stake bust you really hard, But it`s not good tho. When your emotion controls you, I been there when i bust my .36 eth. Playing HiLo first card is Q then next card is K. 92% Win chance still Lose. So i flipped out then try to recover it, I use all my balance then take risk so its easy to recover but in the end. I bust everything. Then I try to play calm, last week i busted 120k satoshi HiLo again first card K then next K. Just sad expression then play another game with low bet. When i get bust i never play with anger. Coz when anger controls you, nothing will happened. Bust bust bust bust so on So best advice is be calm
williamshennie9 Posted July 20, 2019 #10 Posted July 20, 2019 It really does come down mostly to self control. I also used to get angry when I lost a lot while gambling at my local casino, but with self control you can master anything you set out to achieve.
kayke94 Posted July 21, 2019 #11 Posted July 21, 2019 well to be honest i have a relatively short fuse sooo i explode really fast, only thing i can do about is, just go outside take a walk and smoke a few sigarettes and hope to get calm again
hillowner45 Posted July 21, 2019 #12 Posted July 21, 2019 If you want to be chill you have to think like a cucumber so you can become a cucumber. Cucumber are the chillest dudes I know. Don't eat them though cause you will yack. Next time you lapse ask yourself "what would my homie cucumber do?"
bmg Posted July 21, 2019 #13 Posted July 21, 2019 When I try to stay chill after a bad run at the games I try to remember that my phone and my pc are very expensive and my friends are non replaceable so don't get angry and break them or take it out on them lol. Also just keep in mind what's done is done and move on to the next bust.
Kate Posted July 21, 2019 #14 Posted July 21, 2019 I just come to have fun but when i do get angry i just say my google assistant tonplay my playlists from spotofy since they are like those relaxing songs and really helps me keep my cool.
SLFJ Posted July 21, 2019 #15 Posted July 21, 2019 I have completed my anger issues on Stake, I never gamble and if I do I'm not mad for my losses, some say they cant just cant fix it but it is pretty easy overall to do and you can fix them too it just needs your full concentration, thats most likely it
