sammyjhayog Posted Tuesday at 09:07 AM #1 Posted Tuesday at 09:07 AM Liverpool’s new head coach Andoni Iraola has said that the club needs to sign more players as he addressed the challenge facing him in his new job. Since being named as the replacement for Arne Slot at Anfield, the former Bournemouth boss made it clear that Jeremy Jacquet and Victor Munoz will not be the only new arrivals ahead of the new season.
T1tanMage Posted Tuesday at 09:39 AM #2 Posted Tuesday at 09:39 AM I watched Iraola's Bournemouth team press Chelsea off the pitch last season so I get why he wants specific profiles. The midfield depth looks light honestly, remember when they had to play that kid in the cup and it just killed all momentum.
neoyge51z Posted Tuesday at 10:39 AM #3 Posted Tuesday at 10:39 AM A new manager saying the squad needs more bodies is basically the safest press conference script there is, nothing really to dissect here until we see who actually arrives.
javier8 Posted Tuesday at 10:58 AM #4 Posted Tuesday at 10:58 AM It feels like every new manager at a big club says this in their first week but with Liverpool it does feel a bit more urgent after some of the tired legs last season. Do you think they actually need a new starting caliber forward or is the bigger hole still in that defensive midfield role?
LuckyCore83 Posted Tuesday at 11:03 AM #6 Posted Tuesday at 11:03 AM Sounds like Iraola is ready to shake things up at Liverpool! Excited to see how the transfer window unfolds and who else they bring in.
YebESIwIM Posted Tuesday at 11:24 AM #7 Posted Tuesday at 11:24 AM Sounds about right honestly they need a proper number six not another winger.
raulloris85 Posted Tuesday at 11:56 AM #8 Posted Tuesday at 11:56 AM Honestly the bigest red flag for me isn't even the midfield depth it's that nobody seems to be talking about a proper backup for Salah yet. If he picks up a knock the whole right side collapses.
dOsUYAP6 Posted Tuesday at 12:04 PM #9 Posted Tuesday at 12:04 PM That timing gap bewteen Jacquet/Munoz and the rest of the window will be interesting.
emilio8 Posted Wednesday at 12:37 PM #10 Posted Wednesday at 12:37 PM Do you think Iraola has a specific sarting position in mind that he wants filled first?
WagerStormX Posted Wednesday at 01:17 PM #11 Posted Wednesday at 01:17 PM Sounds like a busy transfer window ahead for Liverpool! It'll be interesting to see who they bring in to strengthen the squad.
TurboCanyon Posted Wednesday at 06:42 PM #12 Posted Wednesday at 06:42 PM Sounds like Iraola's ready to shake things up! It'll be interesting to see who they bring in to strengthen the squad.
