Oh boy gambling can carry you away so hard. Today something happened at my office and I really never felt more embarrassed in my life. I am just going to explain the situation. Up to you how you would feel when you were in my place.

Since a couple of weeks I am renting a small office space in a commercial building near my place. Cause I regularly get clients that come over I decided to rent a small space so that they didn't have to come to my personal home. So today it was just a day like any other. I arrived at my office, turned on all my screens and started my trading. While trading I was checking my agenda so I knew I had a couple appointments in the afternoon. And there was 1 very important one with a businessman that wanted to start investing in crypto with a minimum of 250,000USD.

But well I was trading, everything went well and made some very good profits. But in meantime I was also playing on stake and doing some in play sport betting. That the Beauty of being a full-time trader. In between I have enough time to do other things.

But now this is what happened.....

In the afternoon I closed a couple good trades.... but in between in about 30 minutes I made about 3,000€ in in play sport betting on several tennis games. I was in such a winning streak. At the same time I won my first 10$ in a stake telegram challenge. So I felt it was time for a small party. As I am always by myself in my office I turned on 'thunderstruck' by ACDC and started jumping around my office, screaming with the song with my tie around my head..... Think a way to let of some steam for me.

But you probably can already guess what happened. While I was jumping around in my office with my tie around my head my 250,000€ investor entered my office...... oh boy it just felt the ground was sinking under my feet.

But at the end I still convinced that guy to sign the contract for 250,000€. He even asked me to turn on the same song again after closing the deal and signing the contract.

So my conclusion: Gambling can carry you away in such a way that your forget everything what is happening around you.

Thanks for the great story.   Very good and descriptive.   I almost felt like I was right along side of you !!!   I am extremely happy to hear you were able to close the deal still !    So nothing too terrible came out of it.   🙂. Have a great day natt!

yeah it still was a great day. but I think from now thunderstruck will always remind me to what happened today. but well happy to have closed the deal. I received a message from the investor he was very happy with the meeting and closed deal and even invited me over for dinner with bot our families. So I am a lucky man today

Gambling has done that to me many times. Sometimes I get so lost within a game. A few years ago, I won a ton at my local casino on blackjack, and before i knew it, I was betting amounts which were half my income at the time lol.

No.. that was not what I was expecting. I thought you took investor money, went on Plinko and just flush it with $1000 bets. 🤣:D😂 Loud music is not the problem because it is not illegal at least not yet. Just little embarrassment. Still nothing comparing to stealing people's money and seriously that what I was expecting reading this story. Good to hear that you are a good person and not some crazy desperate gambler LOL

An interesting life story. Yes, so always an important person comes exactly at that moment when he is not welcome or not ready for a meeting. You're lucky that this guy turned out to be normal and the deal was made. But there are those who after what they see and do not want to talk.

never ever mix you gambling life to your personal life.. that will get in the way from you priorities.. mixing it will cause a lot of mis understanding. it wont be functional thats for sure..

Haha, yeah definitely can get carried away when gambling, but I'm glad to hear that your story has a good ending :) But in the end as long as you remember your priorities, that's the most important thing. Honestly though if I was that investor, I would've joined in on your little office party and rocked out with you too XD

Well, you’re lucky you still managed to clutch that situation > all’s well that ends well

More importantly, I think we all need to recognise the addictive effects of Gambling and how it affects us, even going so far as to put in restrictions (if needed) which can help us stay on top constantly in an aware state.

This story sounds like more of an advertisement for your trading than an actual true story about how you jumped around your office with a tie around your head. Who would ever do that, especially a grown adult. And why are you competing in telegram challenges for a $10 prize if you just made $3,000 in trading profits?

I am only doing this challenges just for fun. I love spending time in the community and to join such giveaways even though I do not need the money. Cause yesterday I tipped away almost the entire 10$ I won. So the celebrating in my story was more about the 3,000 sport bet winning and that I made some nice profitable trades.

About jumping around in my office. Even grown up man sometimes need to let of steam. I have been doing business for 20 years now. Sold a couple successful businesses and still running 4 businesses. I work approximately 80 hours a week which is more than double of an average man. I am responsible for over 40 employers and in my trading business I am responsible for over 10 million € in funds that me and my traders are managing. So yes even a grown up man needs to release the tension once in a while

I completely agree!  Sometimes we just need to act like big kids and not take things too seriously.

indeed this must be possible even for a grown up business man. Maybe for me its also because I became a dad on a pretty young age. Maybe I am going through my second youth now. But well as long as we can have fun from time to time its all ok for me. and I rather like to release the tension on this way than needing a line of coke or so 😂

What?  'thunderstruck' by ACDC.  bro, no need to be embarrassed!  You should if you were playing "thunder" by imagine dragons... that is no thunder, just a silly light in a cloudy sky.

Absolutely right.. congrats on your 2nd childhood... lol.  Releasing tension in some way is a necessity.  If you take life too seriously, you'll never make it out alive.

I agree, jamming to some AC/DC is everyone's right! I couldn't think of a better song to accompany this story anyway, makes it a feel good story even more!

wow that's good when you can convince someone to work with you in a large enough amount and when you are happy because you won a few thousand euros and that is good for your business maybe if that happens to me, I will feel nervous and unable say words to my investor,I wish you luck and more success in the real life business

Hahaha, sometimes you just need to be lucky and around a circle of good people for them to help you rise up and trust you, but you did a very good job convincing him if he still signed the contract :D not gonna lie I would have been a lot worse, because I just casually suck at convincing people, good job, I am happy for you and your choices in life, good luck in the further ones haha.

These kind of things has happened to me too lol not in this big of a scale but just zoning out and being unaware of my surroundings but I think it’s important to be happy and show it sometimes even tho it can be embarrasing! :)
