Teapot Posted July 25, 2019 #1 Posted July 25, 2019 Hey everyone its your new friend @Teapot If you havent already drop a reaction it really helps. So about diamond poker. It is a cool adaptation of just a basic poker hand but just using suit instead of any numerical values. But my concern is that unlike normal poker you cannot hold or do anything, it is all luck and yes i understand all these games are just luck but I would like to know my odds for certain outputs and also wondering why the payout for as full house is less than 2x it is more likely to hit 1 or two pair than it is to hit a full house yet you win less money? it does not make sense to me and I would like if someone could explain to me why that is?

No one plays it because the multipliers are so low. Wildmonkeylv is correct that it's for high bets but it just makes so much more sense to play blackjack.

I am with the majority here in that I'm not a fan of the game. UNless you're betting big as mentioned, the payouts are not worth it in my opinion.

I also don't get why is that. I look in Video Poker, full house is higher than 2 pair and 3 of a kind where you can also get in playing Diamond Poker.

There is no skill involved, nothing you can learn, nothing in your control, thats why everyone hates this game with a passion. The full house pays out 1.5x so that the casino has the 1% edge in the game, other then that its pretty much 50 50 whether you win or lose. Most often you will find that you will tie. Imagine going all in and tieing 5 times in a row. I would die of anxiety.
williamshennie9 Posted July 31, 2019 #10 Posted July 31, 2019 The 1.5x when you hit a full house is basically the house edge. Since the odds of winning are exactly 50/50, Stake needs to make 1% house edge, so they do this by lowering the full house payout to 1.5x and not 2x.

It is very very straight forward. all you have to do is literally get the same gems/diamonds on the game mode like 2 or more red gems or 3 or more green gems and then get more than the dealer... If that's what you want to call it But yeah it is very straight forward just need to get used to it. Just keep playing and you will get the hang of it.
