BLXN Posted August 2, 2019 #1 Posted August 2, 2019 hi there-- well, damn. so i was betting manually on dice, and without my notice i had set my base bet @ 0.0000256, thinking it was 256 satoshi.. but the server/game/whatever site/"Gary"had decided that that zero was just taking up space, or something? I had a balance of roughly 0.022 when I started.. and in 10 rolls, it was gone, -- I blinked at the 0.00000000 .. why, for the love of god would this ever strike a developer as something that would help the bettor, who is making many quick decisions in successive fashion.. something like this is bound to happen. I feel like I just accidentally max-bet my balance. remember that fun?? for realisies though guys, the only party benefiting from a lack of accurate description of the FUCKING BET VALUE is Stake -- "qui bono?" please give us back our aught. that really sucked...lol, and to have to remind oneself to check for the number of zeroes on the inside of a grouping of numbers is awkward. for sure i want a refund, but i know i won't get it. alas. hopefully the community can chime in with any of their experiences. Anyone ever hit any extra big bets using this tomfoolery?
hui Posted August 2, 2019 #2 Posted August 2, 2019 Out of curiousity, do you also blame your bank if you do a bank transfer of 1000$ instead of 100$?
BLXN Posted August 2, 2019 Author #3 Posted August 2, 2019 well, it was tongue in cheek really. but also -- if it were a bank account, i would have the numbers in front of me, i could push them in sequence, and doublecheck to make sure i was sending the right amount. -- hui. can you find any reason for it though? i think it should be fixed.. you ... think it should remain, i must presume from your stance?
hui Posted August 2, 2019 #4 Posted August 2, 2019 I think it is a thing worth fixing, but I also like to think that people that deal with money are able to be aware of the importance of zeros in amounts

hui Posted August 2, 2019 #6 Posted August 2, 2019 Hehe sorry, I really didn't mean it personally and technically I agree that it should be auto formatted properly - as a perfectionist and with a trading background I still had to drop the note about zeros somehow - I hope you don't mind!
