MIT Analysis Shows only 2% of Bitcoin Transactions "Illicit"

Here's a good news story you can use to refute the Bitcoin haters who are claiming that terrorists and criminals are the users of Bitcoin.

An analysis of over 200,000 Bitcoin transactions showed that only 2% could be considered illicit.  So surprise surprise there are lots of legal uses for Bitcoin.

This result mirrors another result from earlier this year by Chainanalysis that showed only 1% were illicit.

Given the recent regulatory upheaval unleashed by the scrutiny of Libra, I find analysis like this reassuring.  I hope it helps you in fighting against fools that somehow think BTC is a tool only for breaking the law!
