Kate Posted August 3, 2019 #1 Posted August 3, 2019 So we all come here to play and win and sometimes we reach the goal and the minimum withdrawal and withdraw from stake as you all would have at least done once thats for sure. But i wanted to ask the people who have withdrawn from stake have you ever been taxed for the winnings ? Well for me i have never been taxed maybe mainly because i live in a country with no tax i guess ? Thats probably the main reason why it has not happened yet but what about you guys ? Ever been taxed for your winnings ?
polor12 Posted August 3, 2019 #2 Posted August 3, 2019 how can we get taxed by winning. well at this site. maybe by stake.. but in the U.S you dont file any digital winnings.. unless unlike some very dumb anal people put btc as a funding source.. then thats a different story.. but luckily there is no file to make because it does not exist. prize winning from lottery or any contest. you get a form to file it to the irs.. btc dont..
SLFJ Posted August 3, 2019 #3 Posted August 3, 2019 I have never been taxed by winning on it, and I do not see where and how would it be done, because they have nothing to tax us for and as polor said, if we would get taxed, we would get taxed by Stake, good luck in the future. Kind regards, slfj.Â
Enzo Posted August 3, 2019 #4 Posted August 3, 2019 I haven't, i'm a bit worried because I heard recently the IRS is sending out documents for people who haven't been paying taxes on crypto currency transactions letting them know they're aware or that they're investigating. Theres a post on the forum about it somewhere.

andretvogel Posted August 3, 2019 #6 Posted August 3, 2019 Never been taxed, and hopefully not in the future because tax not even helps when we loose .

I have not yet been taxed on any winnings as of yet either. It will be interesting to see what comes of these supposed letters being sent out and if anyone actually receives one. I believe it's just a bit of a scare tactic by the IRS, hoping to get their piece of the pie as always.
cukup2 Posted August 3, 2019 #9 Posted August 3, 2019 Â I also have never been taxed when making a withdrawal from a stake. if you get a fee when making a withdrawal from a place of exchange I like to get a fee and that might be natural for me. and if there is a tax for the income from crypto it is possible when the crypto coin has been legalized in my country.

They wont be able to tax crypto earnings cause the anonymous aspect of cryptos. Thats the thing theyre worried about
sheenazbay Posted August 4, 2019 #12 Posted August 4, 2019 I have never been taxed when withdrawing, only subject to a fee, and the fee for me is only the shipping transaction fee

Government forbids gambling in real life because there always fighting, killing each other in casino in my country. So government shutdown all the things.Â
Ali saher Posted August 4, 2019 #14 Posted August 4, 2019 I don't pay any tax winnings and if there is any tax I don't know and maybe online gambling not any tax I think stake pay all taxÂ

I have also paid tax on land based casino slots winnings. When you hit over a certain amount, you have to pay taxes on it. They will often give you the option to have them take them out right there, but if you do not pay then and there then they must be claimed on yearly tax filings. I have also had to pay taxes on some lottery winnings I have had.
Etude Posted August 5, 2019 #16 Posted August 5, 2019 Nope I have not been taxed on my cryptocurrency winnings in terms of income tax ... yet.
polor12 Posted August 5, 2019 #17 Posted August 5, 2019 ive gotten taxed for winning over 5 grand on a scratcher long time ago.. and the the amount they took was crazy.. they given a choice is to get the money in 1 large lump some or every other week. i chose 1 large lump some which they took about 12 percent of my winnings.. even though it was that much i still had a good amount that lasted me a couple months in student loans paid off and other expenses..
barbaris Posted August 5, 2019 #18 Posted August 5, 2019 I have never been taxed on winnings. I don’t understand why I have to pay a tax on winnings, because I play with my money and risk it, and someone without risk just wants to get a part of my money. It looks like a racket.
Shaniqua Posted August 5, 2019 #19 Posted August 5, 2019 i havent been.... thats the short answer to your Question. However i should have been in reality when i withdrew a lot of funds to CB and then to bank.... i guess i had to declare them in taxes or smtin... oh also i got the CB account banned, so maybe thats part of me paying the price =/Â

Hope that it won't happen.. sometimes its up to you to report report your earnings to the government and thus pay the taxes on the wins. Life if you withdraw 12000 dollars to your bank account, if its over 10000 you must pay taxes on it as well or something, Or say how you got it.
