- 370+ assists - He’s literally the best passer AND scorer  
- 91 goals in a calendar year (2012). That record is insane  
- 672 goals for Barcelona - most for a single club ever  

*3. The eye test*  
That low center of gravity. The way he glides past 4 players like they’re training cones. The left foot that puts the ball exactly where he wants.  
He makes the impossible look casual. Dribbling in a phone booth, free kicks, chips over keepers - he has every weapon.

*4. Longevity + Consistency*  
17+ years at the top. From 2006 to 2024, he was either the best or top 2 in the world every single season.  

*The usual GOAT debate:*  
- *vs Ronaldo*: Messi has the World Cup, more Ballon d’Ors, and playmaking. Ronaldo has more UCLs and is the ultimate goalscorer.  
- *vs Maradona*: Diego had the ‘86 World Cup magic, but Messi did it for 20 years straight.
