And also what is yalls view on this kind of gambling. I imagine everyone looks down upon it since its animal cruelty but is it really any worst then two roosters fighting to death in nature? Anyone not think its that morally bad? What if instead of roosters they had two animals that naturally dont like each other and are aggressive towards one another. i think theres much better ways of betting on fights to the death that dont have to make use of drugs and weapons like cockfighting does.
barbaris Posted August 3, 2019 #2 Posted August 3, 2019 As far as I know, this is a prohibited type of gambling. I have never seen such fights alive, only on TV. But I had to attend dog fights. This is real cruelty and a sea of blood and quite often it ends in the death of one animal. Dogs are specially looked after and observe a certain diet and constantly provoke cruelty to tease in the cage. I think that with roosters, too, who is better kept and who is physically more developed will be the winner.

Yes I also think it is a prohibited in almost everywhere. It’s not very nice either and is inhumane.

kurian Posted August 3, 2019 #6 Posted August 3, 2019 I never had a chance to bet in cockfighting. But, there are many places in south India where cockfights are conducted illegally. As of now, Supreme court of India has banned cockfighting. Due to this, people who have invested their money and time are suffering. This is cruelty to the animals but, i should say that, the effort they are putting to make these roosters ready for fight is remarkable.

I think that it is super cruel (coming from me, who has never seen a cockfight take place in real life). I guess you can bet on anything really if you want.

I have better idea. Let stake create Cockfighting game. It could be multiplayer game we could fight with each other and even more than that. People could watch two players fight and bet on one or another. This way stake could earn more % not just from those two players. That would be fun haha. There could be 3 rounds for 30 seconds each. That would be something extraordinary on stake. Actually fighting game is the good idea not necessarily cockfighting, there could be karate game kung fu. Of course not that advanced like real games, should be more simple and rounds not so long (30 seconds). But there could be many moves that each fighter could use.

It's one thing if it happens in nature, but forcing it for sport is completely different. I understand it is popular in some countries, and to each their own I suppose, but I am not a fan.

It is completely a practice of third world country. Perhaps they are practices of ethnic or cultural origin, stop practicing them is the best way to honor that past, but where money and status speaks, there is silent human sense and common sense. Countries in LATAM are practicing very much this cockfights and bullfights which is a very common "sport" among drug dealers and cartels, and Politicians and characters from the artistic medium meet; all them are related.

Yeah i think the worst is gladiator example because its people, we shouldnt ever become desensitized enough to feel comfortable watching humans die. but animals ehh idk their animals. i betcha no one would care about insects!

But how do they know whos the winner when both rosters are still standing. and what does "7 - 10" means? lol. I heard that many people get rich on this game. I really want to visit one of the cockfight arena near me, but I'm afraid coz i heard virgins gets scam there a lot. well, adding cockfight here on stake? i guess its going to be rigged. unless if its a live stream.
