Finance on Aug. 9, the notoriously bullish Draper doubled down on his prediction that Bitcoin will hit $250,000 by 2023. Due to current trends, however, there might be a slight delay to the giant price tag becoming reality. “It’s consolidated more than I thought it would,” he told the network. He added: “I thought there would be many more competitors at this point that were really relevant, but people have consolidated towards Bitcoin because it’s decentralized.” Draper is well known for his Bitcoin price prediction, something he has repeated multiple times over the years. Now, he considers a likely time frame for the prophecy fulfilling itself as somewhere in the next four years. “$250,000 by 2022, and I’m hedging a little, maybe Q1 2023,” he added. _________________________________ John McAfee, however, has issued himself a much more intense ultimatum; if BTC/USD does not hit $1 million by the end of 2020, the mogul says he will eat his own penis.
wry Posted August 9, 2019 #2 Posted August 9, 2019 Gotta love the big and bold predictions by these types of people. Of course Draper is massively just talking his own book, as he owns thousands of Bitcoins. While I think 250K is nuts, I would have said the same about 20K in 2013 which is four years before it hit it in 2017! So we'll see. It is clear with the USA and China going after each other than currencies are now weapons and so there may be a move towards commodities such as gold and Bitcoin! Oh and McAfee is a character, stake user @Lillyflow actually interviewed him one time!
williamshennie9 Posted August 14, 2019 #3 Posted August 14, 2019 Well, I will be super rich if bitcoin does actually become that expensive by 2023. Then i will be able to retire and live a comfortable life it this happens I will keep my fingers crossed for the next 4 years
