SLFJ Posted August 9, 2019 #1 Posted August 9, 2019 Hey, So all of you might know there's a dude called Tomki and he comments ever little detail about the race every 5 seconds and no one really cares about his announcing, well some do, but to the majority of the community he is pretty annoying and so he is to me. Should we try and stop him? Tomki - he can't stop us all.

When we are not betting on that time, he announced and commend are fun for as I think.
cryptofly Posted August 9, 2019 #3 Posted August 9, 2019 I have no problem with Tomki and his own announcing project during race on going, as far as he keeps the good attitude and I just will ask for him to find some different words to do it in order to give a good reason to read those announcements. Also, the emojis are important so anybody can see that he is doing that and everybody can choose if read it or not. I think that, like I do, give thanks to every rain doing by users is much more annoying, or when spam trivias comes around, or small messages like "lol, grrr, sup....". My opinion, good luck.

polor12 Posted August 9, 2019 #7 Posted August 9, 2019 that is why there a ignore option.. to ignore the person so she or he would not show in your chat window. wont see what they type nothing.. and i think if you rain they wont be able to catch also.. i should know i have about 361 or 62 people on my ignore list.. so basically i can only see about a quarter of people chatting.. and sometime the chatting is about something that a person on my ignore list.. so im out of the loop. so i really dont care what they speaking about.. and plus it takes the irritating aspect of chat out the window..

Some may find it annoying, but this is what the ignore feature is for and each player has the option to use it. It does get a little spammy in chat, but like I said, you can put him on ignore if it bothers you that much.

"We" do not need to stop him, unless it becomes spam he is doing nothing against the rules. If you want to comment on the races go right ahead and do so yourself. It's a public chat, so he has just as much right to be there as anyone else. However, if he annoys you, solve the problem with /ignore and all of the messages that you find so annoying disappear. /ignore is such a key chat feature I no longer go to chats that don't offer it. So much chat drama would go away if more people would just use /ignore.

I have not any issues with tomki but I not feel good his name if he change his name then I have no problems about spamming

Tomki - he can't stop us all. well for me it helps for other people to not always visit the leaderboard, as long as he dont break rules and the mods/supports dont let him stop its okay just dont hate... appreciate
Xantys Posted August 10, 2019 #14 Posted August 10, 2019 He's alright as long as he doesn't break the chat rules. With more than 2k of diverse users online at times we have to be tolerant. Otherwise use the 'Ignore' button.

Can't control everything in life 🙂 If it's bothering you I would suggest just using the ignore function, I have a very long ignore list and it's amazing how much it changes the quality of chat.
