Facing a 3-Bet Out of Position with Pocket Jacks: Fold, Call, or 4-Bet

Hey guys, I want to talk about one of the most frustrating spots in Texas Hold'em. You raise from Middle Position with JJ, and a solid player on the Button 3-bets you. You’re out of position for the rest of the hand.

In low to mid-stakes games, what is your default play here? Do you flat call and hope for a low flop, or do you 4-bet to see where you stand? I feel like I bleed chips every time I play this out of position. Let’s discuss.
