Stake.us $5 Drop Codes: Are the affiliate codes actually working?

I play on the sweepstakes side, Stake.us, and I constantly see affiliate sites posting lists of "$5 SC Bonus Drop Codes". I try to paste them in, and almost all of them are either expired or fully claimed by the time I try to use them. Have any of you actually managed to redeem one of these promotional 5 SC drops successfully, or are we better off just relying on the daily login reload and our weekly VIP bonuses?
