The Demo Mode Trap: Do slots feel juiced in free play?1

I was testing out Million X and Bonanza Billion in demo mode to get a feel for the cluster pays and mechanics. Within 50 free spins, I hit three massive bonus rounds. The second I switched over to real crypto, I went 300 spins entirely dead. I know the RNG and the seed are mathematically supposed to be identical, but does anyone else feel like demo mode is intentionally juiced to make the game feel more volatile and trick you into depositing?
