Setting a daily goal

How many of you set a daily goal for profits when gambling? I think it is smart and can be a way to restrict yourself from losing. I also think daily loss thresholds could be a good idea as well.

Say you have 500k sats, you wanna make 100k a day, but at the same time, if you lost 50k you stop. That keeps you from losing all and also keeps you from pushing your luck and going way to high in profit and probably busting it.

It's very hard however, to set yourself some stop limits in either direction. You lost 50k and think "oh i've got 450k still i can recover this" and then bam, 450k down the drain and you're crying to support for rakeback xD

Does anyone actually successfully set and follow daily goals? I've tried before and it went well for a day or two until I gave up on it and I think I bust my profit+deposit.

me too always first make good profit and then loss all profit and depo maybe becuse my goal is 1 btc🤔

See, you're setting your goal too high! The #1 downfall of gamblers is greediness. I think you should set a realistic goal that is skewed to fit your deposit size. If you're depositing 500k sats, Try to make %10 of that a day. You do that for 60 days and you'll have over 1.5 BTC. It sounds false but it's true if you re-invest your profit everyday.

why set a daily goal, set a goal for a long the run.. set something that you wants you to be committed to. i set a long goal.. it helped out big time.. it helped me to be more resistant to not spending what i wanted to reach.. and i gotten that goal.. it took a long time but i stuck with the routine in getting that goal... it will build self control etc.. but what ever helps i guess..

That's pretty hard to follow in itself, because it's not like I'll recover, but I'll straight up rush for more profit than my daily goal! Because it might seem like: oh this is my lucky day, let's try to push the limits, no, it doesn't work like that and following it is just pretty much insane for a gambler, well maybe not for everyone, but for the majority of the community, well good luck trying to succeed on that too.

I never used to do this, but have started going in with a plan and a set goal for my session for a while now.  As long as I am able to stay disciplined and stick to my goals, I have found it much easier to be consistently profitable.

Yes this is a smart approach however if I stopped for every 50k satoshi I lost then I would never be able to play on Hilo that often lmao. But I understand that those numbers are just example :)

Many people think that there is a way to keep your balance forever. I don't think that is possible. Busting all is the nature of gambling. We shouldn't be so mad about it. It's the same like winning, it has to come. The only trick is to stop play at the right moment. I don't think there is any strategy that could help keeping the high balance forever, making just a few bets everyday and build the balance even more. Nope, unfortunately.

I have never been able to keep it for longer than 2 days lol. The only solution would be not to play at all I guess lol

For me, it is almost a must to set a daily or session goal.  If I don't go in with a plan and know where I want to get to to cash out, then in my mind I have already lost.  Setting these goals and having a plan and sticking to them is the only way I have been able to be profitable.

Every time I start to play I always tell myself okay I'm going to set my limits. If I get up to x amount or if I get down to an x amount I'm going to stop and continue on later. Problem is I am not good enough on keeping up to what I say. I always get greedy or I always get desperate to make back what I lost. One of these days I will learn... I hope!

I agree with you Enzo to have a daily profit target and I have done it when I have gotten a profit target so I will stop when I lose 50% of my balance so I will stop and continue the next day.

I have applied it until now and I don't want to be greedy anymore. I will make a lot of profit, making it hard for me in real life because I am too greedy.

I sure try to but it is hard sometimes to stop when you meet it but also hard to meet the goals sometimes.   🙂

actually the way to stop is easy if you have reached the daily profit target that you have planned so if it has been reached, hurry up to stop and do a busy life like chat or open a forum or do other things so as not to be provoked to roll again.

I myself have begun to stop slowly from the excitement and the feeling of wanting to play continuously without stopping. you better reduce the roll a little so that our roll addiction can be controlled.

keep control your hand for roll

Best Regards

My finances are shit right now, just started at my (old job) again and they hold the first week -- so i'm just trying to scrape together 200k to feed myself in the meantime, and man, that's hard just grinding.. all is returned to Stake-- which I can somewhat appreciate.. but it feels like the edge is 10x more with forum satoshi, and other right now. hard out there for a gimp xD
