Thepug Posted August 24, 2019 #1 Posted August 24, 2019 I have been on stake for a while and I thought that you guys might want to know how I started gambling and what I want to do in the future. Ever since I was younger, I would enjoy going to the arcade and play on the 2p coin pushers. I would never end up in profit by doing it, but playing it throughout the afternoon was enjoyable. I would always see people play on the 10p slot machines too, and I would always see that they would never end up in profit, so I didn’t join in. As I got older, I never went to a casino or played on an online casino. I always thought that the low lives of society generally did this and that nobody could make money from gambling, with the house always winning. I knew that a few of my mates enjoyed putting match bets on, with them being more fixed on their bet than the actual game that was being played. This is why I never got in to sport betting too because I would prefer to watch a sport and enjoy the experience, instead of being tense throughout the game and getting annoyed if I lost a bet. Then, I started watching CS:GO case openings by MaxMoeFoe, Syndicate and Tmartin. I found it fascinating how virtual items could have such high value and that they could be won, played with and traded with. This is where my gambling experience started to happen. As a few of you might now, Syndicate and Tmartin used to own a gambling site called CSGO Lotto. I saw them playing on this site with coinflips and jackpots. I was interested in the fact that you could play against other players and that the house only took a small percentage of the total bet from each game. At the time, I didn’t want to deposit any of my own money in to gambling, but a few sites started to be created and with that came affiliate codes. So, I set up my own website with affiliate codes on it, and over the course of around a month, I had made around $1000 from this. I then cashed this out and realised that the gambling community was actually quite fun. With no skins left and no desire to deposit my own money, my site was no longer popular so I shut it down, so I decided to see how much money I could make from nothing. I would go on websites with the daily free and see how much money I could make from it. One on particular site, I had made it from $0.05 to $50 a few times. On another survey site, I had made over $500 from just answering surveys and downloading apps on my phone in a month. This is where it went downhill for csgo gambling. Valve introduced a 7 day trade ban on csgo items, meaning that it was hard to trade them. This then resulted in VGO, which is similar to Cs:go skins, but opskins owned them. This is where I got into the vgo community. I started to watch streams where items were being given away and my total goal was to get a $1000 cashout from nothing. In these streams there would be giveaways and trivia questions, where the first person to answer it right would win a few dollars. I would win, gamble up to a certain point and I wanted to cashout my money somewhere. This is how I got into crypto. If I wanted to cashout these skins, I would get more money if I cashed out to crypto, when compared with my PayPal account. I stored this as eth on my wallet and was going to cash it out in the future. Then, I was introduced to Stake through a Prodigy video. Every viewer could get $5 for free, just for being subscribed to his channel, which I thought was excellent! I then transferred my money over from my eth wallet to stake. I found it amazing here, with amazing staff, fun game modes and fun events / giveaways. I was still in the VGO community at the time, still having a cashout goal of $1000. Over the course of 2 days, I went from a $5 trivia, from a streamer called Grim, to around $250. Then, I put all of this money in to VGO cases, with each one being $2.50. To my surprise, I had opened a $3000 knife. No words could describe how happy I was in this moment! It was a 1 in 72000 chance in hitting it and I was told that it was the biggest multiplier in over 6 months. I cashed all of this money out and had $2500 cashed out to PayPal, which then went to my bank account. After this win, I stuck to my word and left the VGO community. I would no longer join streams or gamble with VGO. However, I would still be gambling with crypto. At the moment, I don’t have any big goals with crypto gambling. I am currently seeing how long it will take me to get from nothing to $100 with crypto, with me being a $10 at the moment. I am in love with Stake and don’t have any plans in leaving here any time soon. The staff here are a lot more professional than in any gambling community that I have seen and the events / giveaways are so much fun, rewarding people that play on the site.
CntryBoy Posted August 30, 2019 #2 Posted August 30, 2019 Thanks for sharing your story. I have never gotten into the whole VGO or CS:GO skins game. But to open and win a $3k knife was an awesome thing! The staff here is by far better than any other I encountered anywhere else and it's good to hear you are enjoying your time here. Best of luck in the future.
