Head of China's Impending State Sponsored Crypto Says It's > LIbra

The official in charge of China's central bank (People's Bank of China) plan to issue it's own official crypto currency was quoted as saying it will be superior to Facebook's Libra.  While no launch date is started, consistent with some of the other reports we've been hearing, see:

this is looking like a very serious effort.  Of course, like any state sponsored coin, it wont start out with much anonymity but maybe after awhile it will have some due to transactions?  Hard to say.  Anyway, any interest or excitement for an official Chinese crypto coin?
