Players buying VIP accounts?

So, recently something came to my attention that I haven't stopped thinking about.

Players buying VIP accounts? You think that is worth it? I definitely don't. People will charge $100 for a platinum vip account, and that's not even worth it imo because you will miss out on all the rewards from progressing. Plus, personally I think it's way more fulfilling to progress on your own and rank up. For example, every time I got a new star I felt good, not only because stake sent me free money  But because I accomplished something a lot of people on the site can't manage. 

What does everyone think about players buying vip accounts? I know it's not allowed but I'm pretty sure I've noticed a few cases of it going on that staff don't notice/catch on to.

I as a non vip player is better trying to reach with my own efforts because in my opinion it will feel fun to go through where this long process will make us increasingly learn in various strategies so that we can appreciate what we have gone through to be able to achieve results like that.

I guess they do, although, coupons nowadays depends mostly on wager in the past week, as I know. So I guess it would make no difference buying a VIP account right now.

It doesn't really make sense to buy a VIP account because you still have to wager on it so you might as well create your own. Buying an account results in missing out on the bonuses during the climb up. The most beneficial thing people can do to take advantage of the current system is create 1 single account and stick to just that.

Let's not forget buying an account is something Stake does not support or recommend. When you're depositing your crypto into an account that might be stolen back you're creating unnecessary risk and in return receive less bonuses overall for it.

In short, you're paying for less security and lower bonuses.

Yes that is pretty dumb, because even someone selling VIP accounts the money they have to spend to get to that point will be a lot more than what they are getting. For the sale. If I was to sell my account it would be a lot more than 💯 that's for sure

I think it's a regular thing, and they're just trying to bypass the process of achieving $ 100. They want to use all the functions on the Stake platform quickly instead of trying to get Platinum.

As a silver VIP, I don't really see the point in people buying platinum accounts for $100 because it is purely abusing stake. It is definitely against the TOS and you will just end up having your account being removed and banned, if they do find any suspicious activity on it. 

Also, you could easily get scammed from doing this. There is no definite way that someone is actually selling a VIP account, so even if you have the money to buy one, your money could just go instantly if the person doesn't give you the account.

People always try to find out the way to make cheat. I haven't seen anyone to do that yet. Maybe stupid people thinking that they will make profit after buying a vip account. Even they can scam other people with those account by asking for loan. People will trust much ranked user. I don't suggest it as a good idea.

How do you know people charge $100 did you see offers like that? 😮 No I wouldn't sell my account and I wouldn't buy VIP account either. It is not that hard to become VIP all you need to do is play as you always play and eventually people reach the certain level. No point of buying the account, however people sell many stuff and always do and will be so I won't be surprised to see offers for VIP accounts. However if I had to pay $100 I would prefer to deposit it here on stake and just by waging it I would get VIP level if I didn't have one yet.

I think it’s not worth buying such accounts if allowed. If you are going to constantly play, you yourself easily get to Vip, but I don’t see any reason to buy.

Many of us live in meritocracies in which "levelling up" is rewarded in key aspects of our lives  (career, education, sport) . So for many people they value the status that they perceive comes with VIP levels. Also, some people may have a bad reputation and seek to buy themselves a better reputation.

There are some financial reasons why someone would do this but I'm not going to state those, as it may inadvertently encourage the behaviour.

Absolutely its much fun to reach VIP ( i just reached VIP today although i busted a lot  ) but still it is  good  to feel  your accomplishment. And buying accounts isn't  that  fun.

100 $ for a platinum account? in my opinion it's very cheap. I also want to buy it if someone wants to sell it. but does anyone sell an account here? I'm not too sure. even if there is, maybe they sell it because they have urgent needs, need money, so they sell their accounts. but if they don't have the need to determine, of course they won't sell their account, like a platinum account. takes time to become a VIP, especially platinum + bonuses that can be obtained

It could be happens, vip especially platinum have a special bonuses from boost and rakeback. If that don't restricted any rules i think worth enough to do so.

Actually we are know that is not allowed here to buy or sell account with any purpose.

I do not think buying VIP accounts for stake... is safe at all. Steve has noted down the reasons why it may be unsafe... I just think you might as well do it your self. I think i would be a lot more comfortable doing it all my self. I just feel like if i buy an account it wont be safe and then as well... you can't claim the coupons and bonuses... so yeah.. not worth it in my opinion.

This is against the rules and can easily result in all your accounts getting banned.  @Steve gives good advice.

The appeal is obvious, it's a platinum star, but this can be done so easily to scam players or the site and so is wrong as well as being against the rules.

It has well been pointed out that it's not beneficial to buy such an account for various reasons. What wasn't mentioned yet is that you can and should be reporting users selling/buying accounts (if possible with sufficient evidence) to mods or support. 

It's also a good lesson that these things are happening to understand that just because someone has a VIP tag doesn't mean he actually has a higher reputation or anything like that. So using that "tag" to determine if someone is to be trusted is obviously a bad idea and the possibility that these are just traded accounts shows one more reason why that is the case..

This is an incredibly important point.  Higher VIP level ≠ more trustworthy.  Sadly many VIPS, even platinum ones, have reverted to begging or been revealed to be scammers.  So be careful out there and don't buy accounts.

It's probably a good idea when you here it and realized it at the top of your head, but in reality it's pretty stupid. Users buying VIP accounts are merely after those coupons or else what's their main reason behind it. Still, it would totally depend on your weekly wagers so it doesn't really become worth it, unless of course the buyer is already a high roller on other sites to begin with. Users take advantage of this loophole though I'm pretty confident that stake would be able to hinder this in no time. Plus, I doubt any Platinum user would simply sell off their accounts like that. Platinum users get well known not only because of their stars but because of how they interact as well in the community. It's a bragging right not only because their a platinum user but because other players know them as well because of how they play the game or how they chithcat on the chatroom. Just my two cents. :-)
