iamsheikhadil Posted September 16, 2019 #1 Posted September 16, 2019 For me, it actually did. I crossed many limits due to my past gambling addiction. I begged funds from friends, and even lied to many people for why I'm borrowing the money for. Took loans and made plans but they ended up badly. Broken many friendships and trusts. Got into trouble plenty of times with family because of their demand of funds from me I busted. I had been earning money freelancing online since i was 14, and gambling addiction even made me lazy to a point that once I totally relied on gambling. But now, I'm back on track, with support and progressing towards recovery. Do you have any such experience yet?
sheenazbay Posted September 16, 2019 #3 Posted September 16, 2019 I have never experienced it, I do not want to borrow money if to gamble, because for me it will ruin my life. I hope you can escape from your gambling addiction. people around you will always support you so that you become better than before. good luck

I think I've escaped from the dark hole already, and now I just do it for fun or to save up extra cash. I really don't have dreams of becoming millionaire by gambling lol, it's only possible by hard work

zulfandina Posted September 16, 2019 #6 Posted September 16, 2019 yeah .. exactly the same as you ... I used to be addicted to playing gambling, even though I have no family from the tap, because I was addicted to gambling, I also tried to make money by borrowing here and there, borrowing money from anyone I knew, until my debt was everywhere ... and trust and it went away from me .. no one even family friends who trust me until now .. after getting married, I started to stop playing gambling ... but. it was only temporary ... when my work began to improve and the family's economy was getting better, I went back to playing gambling ... hopefully my return to gambling does not cause damage to my family ..
barbaris Posted September 16, 2019 #7 Posted September 16, 2019 I do not think that gambling can somehow affect my reputation and respect. Most likely, for most people this will not cause respect, but on the contrary. Unless of course you win a million dollars, then maybe I will get some respect.
Ali saher Posted September 16, 2019 #10 Posted September 16, 2019 I think gambling not affect to my life and my reputation because not anyone know in my family or friends or other knowing people's I play online gambling because I job out of country and I not tell anyone for this even my roommates and my colleagues not know about this if anyone ask me what r you doing I simply say just online work or play games. And other think I always play with my own money and just my extra money to use for gambling if I lose my extra money then I stop game and wait for collecting extra money because I not use my need money on gambling I play online gambling last one year but in this period I'm on profit. I not take loan or other friends money for gambling that's why I'm happy and always feel relx because I play in limits and I not cross my limits.

You need self discipline to manage that! And trust me, it's totally worth it! You aren't missing out on anything 8 hours ago, zulfandina said: yeah .. exactly the same as you ... Man if that's the case, you should negotiate your priorities first. Just because conditions improved doesn't give you a green light to gamble them all again as it takes a few seconds for the improved condition to change! Try building your trust with your family again. Keep yourself in limits. I hope you can do that for me

Android888 Posted September 21, 2019 #13 Posted September 21, 2019 i never borrow for friends something new friends cuz i dont have a big balance in stake but if i win big i want tip 1 by 1 my bestfriend no borrow just it.
Goyst23 Posted September 21, 2019 #14 Posted September 21, 2019 If u dont tell anyone, that u are gambler, than it doesn't affect on any reputation
Mahdirakib87 Posted September 21, 2019 #15 Posted September 21, 2019 Yes it harm my reputation and I lost my respect in some case. After losing important money I asked loan from other known people at gambling site. They don't give me loan. Some people report about it and I get warning/mute. Now I don't ask for loan ever.
cryptofly Posted September 21, 2019 #16 Posted September 21, 2019 Not to me, not yet. Gambling is just for fun, not a way of living so, I take my daily job as a major task, family and job. Then I go and find some time for me in cryptojungle where STake is. I do not gamble in any other site because greed is every corner.
chillhouse Posted September 21, 2019 #17 Posted September 21, 2019 If you gamble in a country where gambling is prohibited, you may be subject to low esteem and no respect for you. And some Muslim and Islamic countries gambling also negatively affect you.
Thepug Posted September 21, 2019 #18 Posted September 21, 2019 I would NEVER take out a loan from gambling. If you ask someone from a loan, it is most likely because you are addicted and can’t afford to deposit your own money. If you really need a loan and you know that you will pay it back, just use a credit card. If you can’t pay a bank back on time, then there is no way that you will pay another use back on time.

I think in terms of borrowing it's not good ... especially asking ... but sharing that victory through the rain, I thought it was a very wise action ... I think so because the person who won in his hunt, and shared his results with his friends even though only a small part, it was a very positive action and very good impact ... in gambling we can be sure that the number of losers will be more than the number of winners ...

If your family members/friends learn that you do gambling they will think bad about you. No matter from wherever you are or which religions you belongs to.

Thats an important stuff. I guess that's the reason many gamblers don't take loans from "banks" because they themselves aren't sure if they can pay it back lmao. But yeah, taking loans is like building more pressure on an already sinking ship.
