Sacramento Kings to give Crypto Tokens to Fans!

Many of us are excited about the impending Stake sports book, so would could be a more interesting news tie in than the story today that the NBA Sacramento Kings are going to start rewarding their fans with crypto tokens!

The Kings Tokens are designed to be tied into the anticipated legalization of sports gambling in California.   The Kings have been accepting Bitcoin in their stadium since 2014.  The token is an ERC-20 token (Etherium) but will run only on their app in their arena (!) for now.

I have to say they have some interesting ideas for distributing the tokens, including a plan to give them out to fans who arrive early, 

The token launches on the 25th!

Wow, that is quite an interesting tidbit of information that you don't see often.

I wish more entities would be involved with Cryptocurrency so fans can 'own' a portion of that business or at least get to share in the experience.

Definitely good news to see pro sports teams getting involved in the crypto world.  Hopefully this leads to more similar things from other teams...
