Why do gamblers who leave gambling start to hate other gamblers?

I have observed that many who quit gambling starts to suddenly act as saints and wear a superiority complex in the times when they chat and talk with other gamblers as if they have achieved something huge and deserve to be praised which other gamblers don't deserve.

Is it a psychological thing?

Even sometimes when I promise to myself I won't gamble, I start to dig up more reasons why gambling and gamblers are bad. But at the end, we are all human beings.

And that shitty attitude pulls back into gambling when demands for praise aren't met.

Hate in this case is natural because of withdrawal effects. Perhaps they are already at its final stage (just like how the body "hates" losing what it usually see inside its system such as nicotine, alcohol, etc.) ... I somehow understand their point and just remind them that it isn't their case anymore because [next words are taboo] what we really do here is, ethically speaking, wrong.

maybe they already get a lot of profit, therefore they can talk a lot, as if they are great gamblers. I never care what they say in the chatroom. I just focus on playing with my game

Well I've noticed that gamblers who have lose high amounts might start hating those who are winning saying it's unfair and stuff. It is all about how each gambler play and these hating comments and attitudes should be not existing.

You are right. It's probably withdrawal symptoms that might settle after a month of withdrawal. If they don't develop a hate, they won't be able to leave either so it makes sense.

I think that is only a group of people who feel themselves the holiest of all gamblers, and not the holiest of all good people.
so humans like this do not need to be seen, we listen, .. just ignore it. they are only looking for fame when what they say is not necessarily in accordance with their actions. even people like this are more hypocritical than gamblers like us
