Over time, several gambler become famous for varied reason. some of them known as big winner, big losers, cheater, even luckyman.

each of them has their own story, some of them make gambler life seems glamour while other highlight the low point during gambling career. 

these people inspired gambler all over the world in a way or another. 

1. Brian Molony (The Thief)

As we mention before, some gambler known for the wrong reason. Brian one of them. Brian was compulsive gambler who made the headline due to his bad gambling habits., 

brian used over 10$ million company funds to fullfill his gambling addiction in atlantic city, which most of it losing quickly.

 

Brian was exposed in april 1982 which made him arrested for 2.5 years jail time. the night before brian arrested, he loses 1$ million in 1 night. imagine that.

2. Archie Karas

Archie considered as the most famous gambler of all  time. he has won and lost huge amount of money.

archie story begin when he 15, he ran away from home and work at restaurant, he start gambling and building his skills, magically archie managed to raised his networth over 2million overtime. and he only got 50$ at 1992.

archie headed to Vegas to push his fortune, he known as the longest win streak gambler. he start with 50$ and won more than 40 million USD. till now no one beat this records.

3.  The MIT Blackjack Team

it started  in 1979. few MIT alumni goes to vegas with their card counting skills. these gambler pulled together big amount of money by playing dirty, they always changing player over time to avoid being kicked from casino. they using fresh face and younger who seeks the danger and adrenaline .

These is a very informative topic .. And we are opt to be like them if not controlled our gambling addiction. Gambling problem can strain your relationships, interfere with work, and lead to financial disaster. You may even do things you never thought you would, like running up huge debts or even stealing money to gamble.

Very sad stories and it just proves how terrible gambling addiction could be. Come on if you win $40 million and you continue to play then obviously it's no longer about the money, it's just pure addiction.

I think Archie Karas does have luck in gambling, and that is indeed the talent he has. In history I also discovered that Archie Karas also once said, technique and mind cannot win a bet if it is not interspersed with luck, and luck comes naturally.
there are indeed some people whose luck only exists in gambling

This is an interesting and informative thread!

Even though he was many other things, my favorite gambler was Damon Runyon.  He was a writer and reporter but he was also a well known gambler.  He's often credited with the saying, "The race is not always to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, but that's the way you bet."  Which apparently actually has its basis in the Bible, who would have thought that would be a good place for gambling advice.
