Hilo last card inconsistency

Hello, I would like to point out an issue I've been having a lot.

When playing Hilo, after I lose on, say, Ace of Spades, I can hit the green Bet button again, and the first card is of course my previous losing card, the Ace of Spades.

However, if I exit and come back, or even reload the page, I get a new card instead, presumably the next card provided by the seed.

I probably speak for all Hilo players when I say cards shouldn't just change without our manual input, in the interests of perception of fairness. If I were playing Dice and the site skipped a dice nonce every time the page reloaded it would be seen as ridiculous, yet don't forget that every single card is still an event as important as the outcome of a dice roll. Come to think of it, it's even more important, since high and low outcomes - literally the entirely point of the game - rely on the previous card.

Hey allisonn,

First I wanna say that if you start a hilo game and you go back to the hompage (without refreshing) and go back to hilo, you don't get a 'new' card, you get the same card to start as your first game. I also noticed this and I did ask support why it was.
And if I did understand it right, it is like this because we can change the first card before we bet, so if your first card is an A and you don't like it you can skip it till you get a card you like to start with.

When you play Hilo game your game start your last card what is your last card next bet this is your 1st card not a new card come next bet if you want change card you think this is not good card for starting you just skip the card ,

I think always your Hilo game start with your last bet last card

I have seen some repeats but am still not sure which card it is supposed to come back to.

Regardless, if it works like what you say, it's poor execution because it has nothing to do with the sequential cards generated from the new nonce/seeds.

If my cards are supposed to be ABCDE and I get XBCDE, there is no real excuse about whether I can skip cards if I don't like X, if I press skip then I won't get the sequence of BCDE ever again.

Hey allisonn! :)

The starting card is not included in verification. If you verify any bet, you will see that calculation starts from the second card. So if the sequence for that specific nonce is BCDE, whether the first card is A, X, Y, Z etc, the sequence (BCDE) stays the same. It's technically impossible to be changed, since that specific outcome is generated the moment seed pair is set.
