I guess most of them don't do any bets otherwise under bet tab the bets would show up much more faster. Who are those people? Bots? Do you usually leave your computer on stake website and just go away or sleep? If yes why?

And I think a lot of those people are betting on their mobile phones... it's not easy betting and chatting at the same time. If I play on my phone, I normally don't chat as well
sahil777 Posted October 27, 2019 #3 Posted October 27, 2019 i dont think those are bots or some fake figures, those all are humans, most of people always stay online only minimize their tab, because now a days most of people use mobile to use intertnet, so they usually minimize the site and do their routien work, thats why it always shows so many people online but few in chat and few in games, i think maye they can add an option called "active users" so with that we could see how much players are online and from them how much are active whom are rolling or chating.
niki014 Posted October 28, 2019 #4 Posted October 28, 2019 maybe some of them are bots but i dont think so i think it dosnt count accounts online it counts how many pages are opened atleast thats what eddie said once so there might be 500 people online but some of them got more then 2 -3 pages opened so stake counts it as people its this or it is just those peeps trying to catch a rain who got they acc opened and just comes from time to time to see the chat :d haha

The Websocket is the thing that shows the chat, and real time bets all in, well, real time. Also some people just dont like to talk or just get ignored when they do. It happens a lot.

cukup2 Posted October 28, 2019 #8 Posted October 28, 2019 I think there are a lot of alt accounts when there are coupon distribution events taking place from stake or when like yesterday there was a boost coupon I saw a lot of players who were on more than 2000 users but who did roll and chat I saw that's all, and when the event boost was done a lot of people get muted because of multiple accounts

Yeh, this is correct. We use websockets for the online count. As a result a lot of people could just simply have Stake open on their PC but not be on the website. Also you mention the "Bets" tab not running faster. We only display one bet per 800ms. You can see the incrimenting of bet ID's. We're only displaying about 1 in 600 bets. The bet shown in that 800ms period is weighted by the value of the bet. Higher bets are more likely be to be displayed.

The online counter probably includes hundreds of bots users (Dicebot for instance) to place bet while doing other things.

Some are only coming in that times and only doing challenge daily. That's why I got lagging these time and sometimes I got delay atleast 2sec during race and challenge time .

I think it shows more of the higher wins made as a marketing tactic. Although I know there are losing bets as well but as you said, there are roughly 1000 players online at any given time and yet the all bets tab shows the same 4 or 5 players. Another reason could be it's lagged behind so if you make a bet it doesn't show for a minute or so? I don't know. I thought they were just too focused on the bets they made so they felt that joining the chat room would be of no use to them. or because of something else

It looks like Eddie came in here and cleared up some of the reason as to why. I thought I would still leave a comment on this subject though. Because I will fully admit, that I ALMOST always have a tab open to Stake on my laptop. The times that I dont have it open is mostly due to if I'm on a bad connection or Im having trouble loading other pages lol. So, even if I fall asleep, or am not sitting at my laptop... Stake is usually still open lol. When I am on though, I dont always chat. Sometimes I'm just not in the mood for chatting or I just really have nothing to say. I'll also agree with the previous poster about playing on mobile. Most often times, I use my laptop, not my cell phone. But if I am on mobile, I'm either chatting or just playing.. Not both. Doing both seems rather difficult to keep up with when Im on mobile. Usually, I would say hey to everyone in chat and then let it be known that I'll be going to play and wont be able to keep up with chat. Anyway, someone had said to comment and say why if you always have Stake open.. so I thought I would admit that I do, although I don't really have a reason as to why I do. Haha
