The biggest advantage of Bitcoin is to provide the world with a new way of thinking things, developping a full ecosytem after his creation. This gave him the current advantage that he still have right now, being the reference in the crypto wolrd. Except this historical part (majority of the money in cryptos are in BTC because of that) i don't see a main advantage at BTC technologicaly. The only I see is the community around it, lots of people will just speak/old/buy BTC because it's the first.

I think bitcoin is advance in payment, as bitcoin is acceptable in every exchange and considered as 'legit payment'. And it's easy to turn bitcoin to cash. The other advantage of bitcoin, could be because bitcoin is a 'decentralize' coin.
