Sportsbook: would you bet against your national team?

Since the sportsbook is coming soon to stake, I have a question about patriotism. Would you bet against your national team? I see that many people see this move as very controversial and sometimes even traitorous. What's your opinion? Do you plan to bet against your national team? Is it all about money only for you or there is something else?

I happen to play sports betting and bet against my team celas for the money and also team composition that do not suit me and that I judge too risky to play on

It defends on the person wether we bet on our nation team or not. Most people aim for a winning so likely defends on how the both teams act and do the tricks

if I depend on where my country team is against because if for the ranks in the asiangames team my country team can still serve so if for betting then I will hold my country team but if it has entered the world level then I will support it without gambling lol

No I not bet against my national team even so many times chance to win bet if I bet against my national time but I no play bet against my team because I love my national team

I've done that a lot, I often bet sportsbooks on other sites, I'm not betraying my national team, but I'm looking to win a bet. indeed sometimes we hope that the team we bet must win, so I always look at predictions before betting, and I bet to win

This is not a betrayal. Betting is a completely different matter. To root for the national team and support is always necessary.

I think this is just a game and a bet.
so, even though it's against the country's own players, I think what's wrong with that. we only bet and our goal is money. if our country's team wins, we won't get money. only those who get money. I think it's still better to think about yourself especially since it's just gambling and money

I won't bet if the game is happening of my own nations. Cause I will always want to see my nation to win the game. And if I bet against my nation it will give me much tension and bad feelings. So I won't do it. There will be a lot of other games to bet.

if you are betting at a team which is favourite in that game and opponenet of your country it doesnt mean you are not patriotic lol.

ofcourse you want to see your country win, but you will not going to bet on your country if you know your country is weak against opponent, you cant define your patriotism with a gambling.

yes.. knowing who they facing yes i would and will bet against them.. this is to make money not loose t it.. ill cheer for them yea i would.. but when it comes to money i would bet against them..if they play other teams around the area they are at.. then i choose by the players and last season win and loss ratio.. but yea this is making money not losing.. if money isnt involved ill cheer them on..

It's actually logical to bet AGAINST your favorite team!  Think about it, you obviously want your favorite team to win, so how much money would you pay to see them win?  Bet that much on the OTHER team winning, you'll either get what you want, your team winning or enough cash to offset the disappointment of them not winning!

The sports book isn't a gambling venture, it's a happiness machine!!!

it's all about gambling and money. has no influence with patriotism. I will still bet for the national team that has a greater chance of winning. for patriotism I will continue to support the national team by watching in the stadium or via TV.

Definitely if that gives me money. I don't really care about my country wins or not because it's just a game it's not a war. And in every sport losing and winning is a part of the game and after the game everyone forgets about it but if I can get money then it will really last long.

It would really depend... If the team was better than my nationality team... Then, i would for sure bet against them. But to be honest, I wouldn't like to. I would love to stick with my nationality and bet with them. not against them. It depends, if i think they;re a better team or if i feel like they're gonna win, then i would go for the opponent thats not my nationality.

Since betting in this site is about to win bitcoins or any other cryptocurrencies I would say...fuck patriotism!  There is no way I can bet against a team that easily will beat my country team, doesn´t make any sense as betting is for winning.  Sure I will bet against my country, no problem at all.

Yesterday, I placed a bet on Wales to beat Hungary. The odds were only 1.55 for Wales, but I still got the win and a small amount of profit.

Even if these odds were 3 or larger, I would always bet a small amount on my national team. I would always cheer them on and support them, representing my true patriotic views and beliefs.

I would never do that haha, ok if my national team is weak I would just bet only some sats on that not high amounts of money if I don’t have faith on my national team that’s all I would do. 

But betting against them nahh never 😛
