Seoulmate Posted November 29, 2019 #1 Posted November 29, 2019 I think what would help give players confidence in the legitimacy and fairness of online casinos, is if seeds were generated by an independent third party body. Once created the player could essentially travel with their seed to different sites. I dont wish to argue in this topic if stake is provably fair or not, I'm more concerned with what would give all players the highest level of confidence, and remove as much doubt as possible. I feel that separating the seed generation event from the casino itself would be one solution. As both client or game server passwords are encrypted and neither party has sight of the others password until seed is revealed.

I think even though in any way the seed will not play an important role in winning every bet. Even though the seeds are held by the parties when the confidentiality of the password is guaranteed, I don't think that's the real problem. but the problem of luck in betting is the problem. and I may believe that the lucky person is a chosen person. maybe there is something system or or what it's called that can search or rotate randomly those who are entitled to win this tomb or days later. seed only as a complement. in my mind

I do however, feel that there is a lot of tension behind new players and the casino involved. I think the seed is more protecting casino and comforting the user in to using g2 things, 1 from user, 1 from casino to garage an outlut if the outcome if the game being played. As far as I can tell this is the best thing to do and to show that you are provably fair. If we were to go to a 3rd party for this how do we not know that they were in cahoots with each other the whole time. Eddie has done a good job in biding a community were we depend on each other and we would find out quickly and call out bullshit if it was blatantly there. I feel I am in charge of my bets and outcomes and that's what matters to me personally but would love to hear others' opinion. Stay green y'all!

Thanks for replying, just to be clear my comments relate to the online casino sector as a whole, not specifically to stake. The issue is not for existing players so much, its more to do with new or potential players coming into online casino games. For the sector to grow it needs to attract more people, and new players are going to want to see that everything is fair. Trust must be earned.

I don't change it until 20-30k nonce but nowadays it's kinda hard to find a good seed more on they show what's next seed will replace the old one. And kinda feel like it's expose and ready to lose

That is interesting. I usally don't do that when I start the new session. Maybe this is something I should do from now on. I will see how that works for me. When it comes to 'traveling' seeds I don't think this is the good idea because each casino is different and they have different games , so I don't know if that would even work?

Yes its possible, yes it can work. We are discussing what gives players most confidence in the casino outcomes.
