Stake Profile Picture or Avatar ?

Don't you think it's also gonna be nice if @Edward would also let us upload personalize avatars, or even real-life photos as profile picture? That way, especially to those active on the chat to somehow have this idea of how the person he or she talks to most of the time looks like. I mean if Stake would be a combination of a gambling platform and a social media/community somewhat more like Facebook, it would really be a great idea. Does anyone agree with me? Leave a comment. like messenger, chat with avatar. It is very nice. and is a good idea. but people will still rarely use their own photos, because they prefer to be anonymous. but I like the idea, hopefully stake will realize it

@sheenazbay Well of course it is not compulsory to upload a real profile phito. You can use animated avatars or maybe bitmoji if you use that app. I think it adds up some spice or should I say beauty to the user interface. Cause you know the look and feel or ambiance of the surrounding has a big factor on your playtime right? When you look good you feel good. When you feel good. You win big! Agree?

I wouldn't want to see avatars on the chat because chat is crowded and lagged enough, but I wouldn't mind to see avatars on the profile after you click the name of the person, I with it would be  nice thing

I think that after such an update in the chat there will be chaos, but if they added avatars in the profile, it would not be bad

I think that this would be an absolute awesome feature! For the main reasons that you can express yourself a lot more and in all honesty, it would look so cool wouldn't it? Lets try and get this to be a thing because i honestly think that this would be an awesome feature here on stake.

Firstly, I think that you don’t need to use such capital letters and bold writing for all of your forum post as it can look very overpowering, like what I just did.  

Uploading personal avatars would only make the site more laggy and give more users problems. The site already have enough people complaining about lag and this would make it ten times worse.

I feel as though it’s a bit immature to be asking for customer avatars in the chat and there are plenty of other things that the site can improve on. We can have it on the forum though, so make the most of it here

Maybe its a good idea and as well not this might be a pain in the ass for phone use as well another lag increase I'm a phone user and every single update or spam on chat I keep getting lag even thou my phone has a higher specs

Isn't major, useless and will bring more lag. Avatar will take more  chatbox space on every single chat. 

They have forum already for social activity.

I have thought the same thing since I joined in September of 2017 .. #WeNeedChatAvatars.   It's a great idea and maybe it will happen soon .

who said you cant upload your real life picture ? you can ofcourse any picture you want, i think you never tried to upload picture as a profile pic, just try it as you can see my dp, you can do it too.

ohh if you are talking about at stake casino, then i dont think its a good idea, chat is already so much laging things will be more worse.

but it make chat too messy and we can check too less messages compare to current version.
Mobile version is already allowing too small screen for messages after this avatar thin we might see 2 messages in mobile screen, right???

In stake there is so many user online at single time compare to other websites where avtar option available
so implementing avtar option in chat is totally bad idea.... (for stake chat)

Well I respect your opinions regarding my idea. I do believe each side has it's own pros and cons. Anyways, it still isn't in my hands. I just thought why not share it. I trust Eddie and I believe in Stake that this can be possible without compromising the speed and efficiency of the website itself. Thank you for your reactions and comments. I am for it. This is a very good idea, chat is primarily communication and it should look realistic, at least using an avatar

It would be a decent suggestion I suppose but I think it would change the chat eco-system currently in place way too much given that there can be alot of uhm fake profile pictures used just to lure others for whatever reason too.

It won't be bad. Some other sites have the option to upload avatar/profile picture on their sites. But stake and PD don't have it. Though a lot of man create fake account with girl name to get attention. So if they allow it will be more funny in this big community.

Yup it’s kind of a good idea as that personalises each user more, and gives more identity to the player.

Maybe we could link both the forum display picture and have it show on Stake which (I assume) amounts to lesser work for the Devs. 😁

I dont like it, the chat is already laggish when full I cant imagine it with profile pics..

There used to be a customised Gary avatar for each player in the early days of Stake, but it was slowly phased out. Not sure why, because all the feedback seemed to be very positive.
