Mohrzy Posted December 18, 2019 #1 Posted December 18, 2019 I dont watch much sports besides the NBA would it still be smart just betting based off odds?
molecule Posted December 18, 2019 #2 Posted December 18, 2019 if you dont know about it, why would you bet?
sugam Posted December 18, 2019 #3 Posted December 18, 2019 Its better If you not bet on sports if you don't know anything about it .... But if you really want to bet then just bet on those team who have low odds .. they are likely to win it so go safe and have fun mate
Chikou1306 Posted December 18, 2019 #4 Posted December 18, 2019 of course you should know the game ! if you bet on a team or a player ! you should follow their/his recently results to be able to predict the match result ! playing randomly without knowing the game will increase your odds of losing !
Ayesha0770 Posted December 18, 2019 #5 Posted December 18, 2019 Betting while learning is the key I played sport before even thou I dont really know how but day by day I gain experience and slowly knowing the mechanics
wngo123 Posted December 18, 2019 #6 Posted December 18, 2019 Absolutely not. Imagine you play at casino. You go to play Blackjack or Hilo and you have completely no idea what the rules are. You don't know how much King is worth, is A higher than card 4, etc. You just go and bet randomly. Would you do that? Or maybe before playing the games you would at least read the rules, learn more about cards, check how this game work etc.? I think that's what most of us would do, so why some people don't want to research before betting on sports? Just HELP yourself and give yourself a chance, do research and then bet. You don't need to be expert on particular sport, no need to be fanatic to bet, but at least spend a day or two to READ about it.
Nicol3 Posted December 18, 2019 #7 Posted December 18, 2019 I, as well, am not into Sports betting at all. Although, I have signed up on a sports betting site before. I regularly played there but only in the casino category, I never had a chance to really try and bet on Sports section. So, I also have some noob question. * Is it something that you can bet 10 satoshis like that of the casino section? * If YES, does it only double if you bet on the winning team? if NO, how much is the minimum amount of satoshis are required for you to bet? T'was only when Stake recently launched the sports betting section that somehow my interest was triggered but up to now I am afraid to click on it. Maybe, because I am afraid to lose on betting to something I am stupid about. It's easy to read rules, yes, I can comprehend enough, but you know it's something that requires experience. I tried browsing the sports section, my first time gave me a headache and made my nose bleed. Haha! Kidding aside, I hope in the next days to come, I would be one of the players to bet there. I am gonna allot a schedule for me to seriously learn to know-how of the sports betting section soon enough! Goodluck to everyone as always. Happy holidays! Cheers, NiCOL3
Aiza824 Posted December 18, 2019 #8 Posted December 18, 2019 This is rhetorical. Unlike casino games, researching the past team/player conditions and game performances (and even watching their match histories) that you are going to bet will greatly increase the chances of winning (through choosing the best pick to side with), so it is NO, do not bet if you don't want to throw and you want to enjoy the games more.
Mahdirakib87 Posted December 23, 2019 #9 Posted December 23, 2019 Don't bet if you don't know or have knowledge about the sport. You need to learn about the game first then you should bet.
jualid Posted December 24, 2019 #10 Posted December 24, 2019 No of course, if you don't know the sport and just blindly place your bet on a random team then no but if you just follow some highroller bet then it seems fine to me, just don't bet big if you are not sure about the bet.
nuuuitsjdragon Posted December 24, 2019 #11 Posted December 24, 2019 Sportsbet is fun, and you can try regardless of whether you know about the Sport. However, make sure not to bet such a high amount and get used to it before going for the golden goose. 😁
rdbase Posted December 24, 2019 #12 Posted December 24, 2019 Betting on the national basketball league as you pointed out as one sport to bet soley on the odds is a mistake for one. The team who looks to be winning can be up 30 points in the second half and then all the sudden could be losing with a few steals and not hitting any of their shots. We have seen this happen to the toronto raptors game on saturday and actually broke a record for the past 10 years of it happening in a game. It was an amazing comeback and the odds were over 50x for them to win during the game while I was watching it all unfold. So the moral of this story is, do not trust the odds on any team cause it is a trap the casino sportsbooks have for anyone betting on a team.
Saaho2019 Posted December 24, 2019 #13 Posted December 24, 2019 if you are putting micro bets then its okay whether you know about sports or not but if you are serious then a little research is a good thing As anything could happen in particular sport you never know
YZYETH Posted December 24, 2019 #14 Posted December 24, 2019 Well , interesting topic if you ask me. Short answer would be : If you want to win, no! If you want to have fun, hell yes! I learned the rules and discovered how beautiful sports like Cricket, American Football or Hockey are after placing some small bets for fun. I didn't bet based on the odds , I looked up reviews of prediction sites and took the best free predictions I could find(sometimes compared multiple websites to see if they agree). Now I watch the NFL and NHL pretty often and enjoy betting on them from time to time.
htetaungxx Posted December 24, 2019 #15 Posted December 24, 2019 Hello Mohrzy, If you don't know about sprot betting, you can learn form other people's bet and you can ask support how to bet and they will help you. But if you don't know about sports you should not bet on it. But most of people are know about 1 of sports I think. So, there are many sports for bet Mohrzy, you can choose one what you know about that.
