Why do you need to use as public when tips to others?

Hello everyone,
As for me, when I make trivia and tips to winner or If accendentally got tips amount form others and give back as public only.
But  I saw that some people is tip to other and using public even tips to their alt account. 
As my opnions doing like that is happened to chat as spaming I think.
How do you think for that and why do you use as public when give tips guys, Let me hear please.

Maybe its little bit ego kick to show other, that they have something to send and also strateg to get little extra scam going on. people sent they alts account btc and low balance users sent some reason they low balance to the tipper and hope to get good list and get it back later. At least i have seen something like this going on in chat.

Hello Hte, I dont see the point of this either.

I find it really annoying when people just send their alts constantly in public even though there is no point for this.

Then, these people will also complain about people begging, so I really don't know what to make of the situation.

I think that stone is right, they just want people to beg them and want people to think they are really cool I guess haha.

It is set to default to not show tips in public so if they are doing it then they are wanting them to be seen. On purpose.

They need to check off a box to have them shown in public chat before sending them off.

I like to give tip hidden now. In past I was doing it as publicly while there was trivia bot. But now I don't make trivia cause chat becomes crazy so it's hard to do. But when I win I give tip hidden to my friends.

not everyone gives tips publicly, I often give private tips to my friends, I don't have an alt account, so I never give tips on my alt. and maybe some people give tips publicly so people know he has a lot of balance

Public tips are a way to flex your wealth, or as public proof that you paid someone. In the old days, the default setting for tips was public, but now the default is a private tip.

When I win some big then I share some amount on chatrom I tip my friends private but unknown person when I give I give publicly I think mostly people want when they share every one see and this way to attract others

i think people do public tips ist of all to show off, and the second thing they want to show everyone that i am tipping him or her so next time when he/she will win big so they cant refuse publicly that you never tipped me ever, except these two things i dont know if there is any reason to tip publicly.
