Ethereum 2.0 - Proof of Stake in 2020?

I am psyched for 2020, in particular towards eth2 - a fork of the original ethchain with improvements to allow for scaling. 

After implementing technological features like cross-sharding + adopting Proof-of-Stake consensus, eth2 will effectively be at phase 0. This period of time may/may not be chaotic as eth2 uses a different coin from the original eth. You can certainly expect some level of confusion from participants, with regards to their next course of action.

What do you think will actually happen next?

• We will have to see what happens to the eth-sphere, perhaps a repeat of ethclassic vs. eth?
• Or even if less likely, with support for both tokens increasing.
• eth decreasing in value after eth2 is live - till a point of worthless-ness/zero-value. *Vitalik Buterin personally supports and believes this route to be true.*

This will definitely be interesting to watch. I don’t expect any major price shifts because of this tho. But it definitely will shake things up a bit. 
 

I personally think the goal for Crypto people in 2020 will be to try to expose it to the masses more, that will really make the biggest difference.

I´m ready for a massive activity in 2020 year regarding the ETH behavior in the ecosystem.  The fact that you can PoS your ETHs is fantastic (no matter if you have to have 32 eth to do so) and will create chances to be rewarded in one of the most popular ways in the crypto ecosytem.  The fact that this ETH coin is the second  in list on market cap and the fact you can get reward without buying any expensive hardware will make explode a huge opportunity to new users creating the mass adoption we need badly.  This is my opinion.  Good luck and Hodl.
